You guys keep sayin give Clemson credit, I think I can speak for most when I say we all give Clemson credit, they came to play. Boyd is a good QB, but the problem most of us are in shock over is how putrid the offense continues to be and how the play callin does nothing to fix the problem. If LSU had just put together 2, no just 1 drive. This game is over!

We are one first down and a defensive stop from being undefeated.

Another dramatic reaction. One or two plays here or there and it is a win. Can you give Clemson just a bit of credit? Their QB was freakin spot on after being pounded on down after down.

This is one of the things most missed by fans. When the game was on the line their QB made plays and ours didn't.

The "play" Mett had to make, to make his team a winner...was incredibly easy. A soft toss to a wide open receiver with almost no pressure on him...and he MISSED!

Then Tahj Jones has a 4th and sixteen, with TREMENDOUS pass rush and a TINY window to throw the ball in and he DOES IT!

It doesn't matter what plays you call when your players don't execute.

Have you watched the Sugar Bowl tonight? Have you noticed how a much less talented team is beating the other because their QB is making every play and Fla's QB isn't making ANY plays?

What we have in place has won us a lot of games, and would have won us a lot more if we had had better QB play the last 5 years. It ain't perfect and can certainly be better...but you sons a bitches are just over reacting....as USUAL!

Probably is a fan. His opinion is pretty tame compared to most of the nation. Not just LSU fans.

when asked by another poster

You're joking? So the only thing separating us from Bama is plain old execution?

you said

Yep. Plain old execution. Plain ole better blocking, better throwing and better catching. That is what makes good teams good...no matter what it says in your ranter primer.

I responded

I'll accept that. What is your answer to, what should we blame for 5 years of poor execution?

Why is it so easy to overlook our offensive ranking over the years and how many crap teams we let stay in the game because we couldn't so anything with the ball.

Why are so many people happy with this?

Because we win and people eventually forget what the ineptness looked like when the dust settles. They don't have forward vision that this will continue to be our undoing in the games we actually lose and will be what keeps us from winning championships.

Because of the 10 win formula. Miles continues to win games at a high rate mainly because the talent of his teams are so much better than the opponents except when he plays the Alabamas or Floridas. So because he wins so much, his offenses can continue to be crappy and he can continue to blow NC's as long as he continues to win at a high rate. Sorry arse reasoning by fans of this great program.

HC and their staffs are always responsible for the execution of their teams.

But the point I guess you are trying to make is that our offensive "rankings" have been low so that means our offense is bad. I say all things in football are relative.

I will address our offensive performance from my point of view in a longer fashion if you promise to read it. I'm sorry, but the little one line posts that most people favor can't truly explain it.

Other coaches & fans have been thinking it for years, just didn't say it. It was the joke of the SEC (MILES) everyone knows they have a chance to beat LSU even as athletic as they are because of one constant....BAD COACHING by the head guy. People outside our fan base are sick of us not performing to our potential.

Like them both but Miles is the Dale Brown of college football.

Minus 2011, fluke year, Miles-led teams mostly(for the illiterate) played to opponents level, up or down.

We got lucky to beat Aub this yr and Ole Miss. Looked like shite vs. Towson and Ark too.

Exactly. It's a disturbing trend that needs to get reversed with the quickness.
