For f***s, two great bands being drowned out because of a volume knob on the sound system.. Get rid of it once an for all. Live music is best!

two great bands
Uh, one was being served all night (ours).
Southern’s band would not be denied.
Sorry. That’s just life.

Actually they are two distinct styles, and I personally enjoy both. The Jukebox is loud, strong and energetic with a lot of unison and simpler, repetitive harmony. GBFTL plays more involved arrangements. In any case, each is better than the piped in stuff.

Debatable. THJB is vetted and infinitely better than the piped in stuff.
Sorry you were too busy getting served to see reality.

It was awful at the game. There were multiple times the piped in music started when bands were in the middle of their songs. Both ours and Southerns. The volume was extremely loud also.

Piped in music plays a role in the decline of TGBFTL.

Piped in hip hop is my jam.

Just popping in to agree. Drowning out your own band is asinine.

Agreed. If I want DJ music, I can go to a Saints game.

The band was playing before a kickoff and then was downed out by Ozzy Osborn. The gameday operations guys have gotten terrible.

it's a college football game, not a nightclub.
Let the bands play and kill the piped in garbage.
Bands are one of the traditions that make college football unique and special. And they're being phased out.
Bring them back to the way it was.

As a Tiger Band alum, I will state for the record that THJB outmarched the Tiger Band last night. Both have distinctive styles (dance v. non-dance/traditional).
But, THJB performed with a more difficult march style (high stepping) and stayed in formation better than Tiger Band. Tiger Band started their show with a whole squad out of formation.
I cannot get used to TGBFTL walking out to find their spot on the field. I love this new generation of marching fun formations ... but the technical ability of basic marching and maintaining line integrity is lacking in TGBFTL.

I have no problem with piped-in music….but there is a time and place for it. The whole music scene sounded like a clusterfrick last night because the two bands and the piped-in music were frequently all being played at the same time. I would guess there is some script which music source is supposed to be playing at a given time and some folks weren’t following the script.

Would LSU fans riot if they couldn’t hear callin’ Baton Rouge at an LSU football game?

Shame on them for still allowing this to go on. This isn’t an NFL game

I’m indifferent towards piped in music but for the love of all that’s holy, turn it off when the band starts playing
