Can you imagine the terms of a good new coach’s contract?

You have to believe they are going to make some unconventional demands, not just in terms of money, to protect themselves from meddling politicians, incompetent ADs, future litigation with school, and the definition of “cause”. The next coach’s contract could be far worse than Kelly’s if LSU doesn’t hire an up and comer.

That is in every contract. There is always some verbiage that is open to interpretation (things like moral turpitude, behavior that reflects poorly on the institution, etc.), hence the requirement for detailed timely notice.
