For myself, I think he makes the rest of the Bama O possible.Sell out against him, and make the QB beat us.Gotta do better than Tenn against McCarron.

Rushing, LSU stopped him last season. Stopped him at the goal line twice in a row with no gain..

Screen passes and Dump passes is yet to be seen.

I read this the right way at first, then how you posted it after

My biggest fear with TR. I think we can stack the box, dare AJ to pass, and slow down TR to under 100 yards rushing. I'm not so sure we can stop him coming out the backfield for passes with the LBs we have

the question is not if we can stop him but what will bama do when we do stop him.

Agreed.

IMO stopping Trent running is just the superficial battle. He is probably a more dangerous weapon out of the backfield in open space.

I think the most important thing for us on defense is to get pressure on AJ early in the game. Get in AJ's head early and you cripple the pass game and create turnover opportunities. Its funny how Sam and Mingo running down a QB tends to make their throws a little less accurate.

Richardson will gain yards. We just have to keep him from breaking a big one (or two) and/or averaging more than 3.5 ypc. That's very doable with our front four and LB.

The dude is a beast. Likes the cutback move...Tigahs can't overpursue or he will hurt you.

LB's and DB's gotta focus on wrapping up....a leg, ankle, shoestring...etc. and pass on the initial kill shot. Hang on ...Slow him up for the 2nd guy to nail him.

We'll stack the box and make an unproved QB beat us. I like our chances....

Did you see the other post about TR? Tenn's D held him to 77 yards.... If Tenn D can keep him in check, I am very very confident that we can, hell we held him and Mark Ingram in check last year.......

This, as I have posted before, I cant wait to see Reid come in like a missle when TR is held up fighting for an extra yard or two, and just clean his clock... I am expecting to see this all night from the whole secondary.... Reid is only giving up 10-12 lbs or so....

His production has been from so many carries and vs. teams not as good as LSU has played. We'll wrap him and wrap their game up as well.

Any back can be stopped with 8 or 9 men in the box. The question of the game is can AJ make them pay when they do it. Nobody knows. If they tell you they do then they are lying. We will find out tomorrow night

True, nobody knows... but thats what this board is all about, kicking around observations and opinions. And since you didnt ask........ No way can McCarron pull enough out of his freshman bag of magic to beat us, he may hit a few, but if we force the game into his hands, we will also force some mistakes from him... IMO

Man you would think we're a dinardo team trying to throw together a little giants scheme to beat a number one team. Maybe our defense can bring him down of we get six guys on his back, that will drag him down.

I'm thinking that Richardson is a good back, but not the bronze god that everybody wants to say he is. He will be going up against the best D in the nation! We should be ashamed if he gets more than 100 on us. We will stop him early, and McCarron will have to start hurling it.

If Kent State and Tennessee can do it I believe this Tiger D can hold their own. I'm saying he goes for about 90 yards and 1 TD, and add 30 more receiving.

I predict 70 yds on 20+ carries, maybe 15 yds receiving. Zero TDS of his own true earning. Maybe one TD after a pass play gets them to the half yard line or something.
