Can people stop blaming this horrible season on Perrilloux

2 to 3 losses, MAYBE could be put on Perrilloux, but the defense cost us 4 of our 5 losses. The only one it didn't was Bama.
Our offense scored 21+ points in every game except one and we fell behind by 18 points in that one purely on crappy defense.
With Perrilloux and this crappy defense we are still 8-4 at best. PERIOD!

You are forgetting the mindset of the team if we had a proven QB that the team would trust in. You honestly think the team believes that any of our QB's could lead us to victory? I doubt it.

umm, whatever you say chief...

I disagree. If you are referring to my logic, I'll put it out there once again. Go watch all the games and you will find that many times the offense put the defense in some tough situations. Look at how many "pick 6's" are young quarterback threw. what is it now 7? That's 42 points right there. Also, the fact of the playcalling with our young guys made the team go 3 and out the majority of games. This is all on the offense. When you have the defense coming in there is only so much they can do. Now, I know that the defense did not play great at times, but there were times when they stood their ground too. With Perrilloux 2 losses period.

defense is exhausted from being put on the field all the time...no matter what you do your qb gives them 6 points you just get worn down and you start to not care...RP we would have a totally different season thanks les

I agree Emry. Les has been in a tough situation all season long because of the dismissal of RP. I'm sure he weighed the costs before making his final decision. All of a sudden, he is the worst coach of all time to some of these ranters. He made a decision and stuck by it. We knew we were breaking in new QB's. We also thought that we had one of the best defenses in the country also. I thought the defense played mediocre at best at times, but sometimes they did play with heart. However, the times when the defense played with heart, the offense would stumble more and more. This puts the defense in a pickle and finally it comes crashing down.

The way the def. is playing with plenty of talent I might say and you think RP would be the difference maker. Could someone post RP stats I didn't think they were very good this year at a small school.

that makes no sense he has no one around him duhh
Posted on 11/29/08 at 6:58 pm to emry123
Yes, you can't compare a small school to what we have at LSU. He is almost sacked every other play. I have watched him play and he doesn't have the offensive line at LSU or the quality of receivers. Not to mention a good RB. I still stand by statement having RP as our QB.

So what about the two 80 yard drives to start the game yesterday? Were they tired from warmups. There's only so far that logic can go. Yes there were times that our QBs put our defense in some holes but if you think about it, just about every time our QB (Lee) turned the ball over they returned it for a touchdown. The problem with our defense is not that theyre tired its that they have no idea what is going on. RP would not have had any effect on that.

LSU was one play away from being in the exact same situation had RP went down during the season. The guy is gone get off his nuts already...lay the blame where it goes on this team.

I agree with your point LSUDuet. Like I said before, it was a team defeat. There were many times when the offense played great, the defense didn't play well. Then the defense plays great, but the offense couldn't get it going. It was a season team defeat, not the offense and not the defense.

Hey topgun you are right but it is so hard to repeat as champs this day in age.

What's up Bernie? It's Sidney or John, lol
Posted on 11/29/08 at 7:34 pm to Bernie Ricks
Don't get me wrong, LSU wouldn't be as bad as they are now, but we still would have lost probably 3 games, maybe 4. Our defense is just playing absolutely horrible now.

Yes,I know fan for life. I still feel that only a 2 game loss season with an experienced quarterback. We will hopefully be back next year, though.
