Man, Perilloux really fricked us good.

No, the man that recruited him and kept him around too long and let McCoy go to Texas screwed us (LSU).

McCoy was never going to LSU. He committed to the Horns way before Perilloux changed his choice from Texas to LSU. Why is this a perpetual myth on this board? Perilloux couldn't hold Colt's jock.

now that he is where he is and in that position, it is easy to be a 'ghost buster!'

Apparently a lot of people are impressed with how Garrett looked taking snaps and throwing balls on the sideline this year. Enough so to think he's better than JJ.

as far as experience, JJ has the advantage...I wonder why fans would want to start a true freshman so we can set the program back for another 2 years....

i think JJ had his chance, we gave him a full season and he couldn't do shite with maybe one of the best receiving cores in the nation.

This doesn't even make sense. I'm sorry 60% completion rating isn't good enough for you. Give the kid a half way decent o line and he's gold.

you know I hear middle school football players have the same numbers throwing 5 yard passes all year...ooooops...are we still talking about JJ?

Why is it that teams like alabama can start a freshman ob and play for the nc. if we think about starting one everyone says we can't do that noone wins with a freshman. thats bull shi

This is true...
Freshman QBs make impacts all over the country, albeit to lesser competition, but still they look like they have a clue as to what is happening. And looking at Mcelroy, he looked bad at the beginning, but the kid is obviously making strides.... JJ, nothing obviously standing out that has to do with improvement over the last 1.5 seasons.... pocket presence is just atrocious.

can't have any pocket pressence when there is no pocket to be present in. again returns to the fact we had a weak oline, although it was "the best oline he had ever seen"

side note- JJ was more productive when he moved instead of trying to be a pocket passer, he isn't one and never will be, he wasn't in High School and you aren't going to change that in college, esp. with a qb coach like crowton who doesn't know his arse from a hole in the ground

you know, I cant hardly recall a time where that "atrocious" o-line didnt give him 4-5 seconds to throw the football...do you remember any?
