Can an interim LSU president fire the AD? Would he?

Matt Lee seems like a smart guy and I hope he gets the permanent gig. But the current status of not having a president will complicate the football thing. Can the board step in and fire Woodward? Would it?
WOODWARD CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO HIRE ANOTHER FOOTBALL COACH.
He has made two $100 million mistakes in a row.
Hire a new AD, someone who is forward thinking and anticipates trends instead of just reacting to them. And let that guy hire the new coach. And that coach better not have a massive buyout.
