Why are these guys not mentioned more when discussing depth at safety?

I do not hear anything much about Monroe, he was a stud in high school and one of the top safety prospects in the country.

Lewis played well when Harris went down last week from what I saw. I guess he beat out Monroe? Do they play different safety positions or is Lewis considered better?

Whats the story on these guys? Why so little chatter about Monroe?

Eric Monroe is one of the great mysteries of the last few years.

I know. He played against Auburn when John Battle goes down and performed well.

From what I remember he is a good tackler. Maybe he is a liability in coverage and doesn't have enough speed?

I watched a clip of him getting beat in the spring of '18 and remember saying "that guy is slow as frick". That's not good for a safety.

Like my lost car keys in my apartment at LSU years ago.

I had to have them when I walked in the apt, I just left my car. It was a one bedroom with a small living room, one sofa and a kitchen.

I never found them. I looked for a month, turned the sofa upside down and inside out. I literally took my bed apart. No one else was there when I went in, no one left.

My missing car keys are a bigger mystery even than Monroe, it still haunts me.

But yes, its a mystery why you never hear about Monroe, the number 3 safety in the country coming out of high school.

I thought I was the only one who mysteriously lost keys inside the residence and never found them, despite a thorough search.

Yes, I thought Monroe had a good chance to get lots of playing time at safety, if not start. He does come from that North Shore program that won Class 6A, Division I in Texas last season.

This seems odd. When I saw him on KO coverage vs BYU it looked like he was in a different gear (fast) than everyone else.

I don't think speed is the issue.

Thought Monroe was banged up? And he’s a SS. maybe delpit can play the free now. It feels like cameron Lewis has been here forever. He’s been overshadowed by 4/5 stars since he’s been here.

I'm pretty sure he was injured most of last season.
