They were talking about him possibly being shutdown for the year and not pitching minors at all considering his innings went way up this year.
As far as LSU goes, pitching him on short rest would verge on malpractice. He has too much career ahead of him and I don’t think Jay would do that anyway

I think the only way you may see Skenes in a game two would be if it’s out of hand and possibly to get him the record. Still highly unlikely.

Exactly. It was my gripe last night. Floyd only allowed the runs by walking batters. In that sixth inning, we allowed four walks and a hit batter. One base hit all inning. If we just throw shitty strikes all night, we win. Honestly, it makes me mad thinking about it. But, the leadoff walk was actually worse than allowing a solo HR.
