Exactly.
Not to mention that if this team can't get up to beat an Arkansas team that shut them the fck out in 2014, and are just gonna roll over and get thumped again, when by all accounts as of Nov 8 Lsu was not out the playoff picture...i dont think a bye is gonna help

100% agree with this. Too much buildup to the bama game, not enough time to mentally and physically recover after the bama game.

LSu doesn't control the SEC schedule. The league office does. It amazes me at the ignorance of some of the fan base who post here.

Maybe we should treat the bye week for what it is, a chance to get healthy and let the players get their legs back under them after several consecutive weeks of playing, instead of holding physical practices that week?

To think the schools don't have any input in the schedule makes you look ignorant. Do you really think it was the SEC's idea to schedule LSU's bye the week before Bama? Also, the SEC has to work around non-conference games that the schools are already under contract for. If LSU really didn't want a bye Halloween weekend, they could schedule a non-conference game that weekend and "force" the SEC to move the bye week.

No. We need to schedule South Alabama after Bama and schedule Arkansas for the second to last game and keep the bye before Bama
