I just hope the team doesn’t buy their own hype and think of Texas like many of the posters here do. LSU should win but man the tone of the board feels like fricking Wisconsin all over again.

All of this. One of the best posters on the Rant right here IMO.

A lot of people will be sad after Texas whips that arse. Hopefully the O defenders will come to the light.

The offensive line will be fine. Texas signed a 5* athlete in Whittington he was going to be a receiver but it's looking like he will be a hybrid running back/ receiver. He is built more like a running back he is a great route runner and very physical as well he ran over upperclassmen in the spring game. My biggest concern to be honest is the d line. Texas has recruited legit linebackers since Herman arrived the only problem is they are young. LSU fans also forget they are installing a spread offense that will take time to get used to. Texas sees that kind offense weekly in the big 12.

Buy. Oklahoma's defense will be worse than LSU's offense.

All this doubting Texas as a top team is pretty hilarious coming from us LSU fans, but honestly they'll finish with 10-12 wins prior to the bowl game/playoffs. They lost a lot on defense, but they are way better prepared to make that negative into a positive by the middle of the season compared to any other Big 12 team. The offense has a Heisman level QB with a legit NFL level WR, an experienced #2 WR who rarely drops passes, and a pretty decent young RB. Their OL won't be bad either, may not be great, but it won't be anywhere near what we dealt with last year.

On to the actual topic, yeah I do but that LSU will be the best team they face although Oklahoma could easily have the better record at the end of the season. Problem with Oklahoma won't be Hurts as he'll be dominant just like the other two were, the problem with them will still be the defense. Oklahoma will go anywhere from 11-13 wins pre bowl game/playoffs.

Interesting, would like to see a little more consistence.

He and Gundy are intriguing. Love their offensive styles.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Syracuse AD >>>>>> LSU AD

At least before Woodward got here

I think the choice comes down to LSU and Oklahoma. I'd have to give LSU the strong nod on defense. Oklahoma seems like they have an elite offensive system in place. Kinda hard to overlook 2 straight Heisman QBs, both who had transferred there.

Catching Texas early is critical for LSU. Only two players on their defense have over 40 tackles. They've got nine freshmen and sophomores on their 2 deep.

LSU wins by at least 2 TDs.

Ehlinger has a bad showing. Also his backup is a true freshman.

LSU 1a and OKie 1b. Texas should go 9-3 this year.

Texas game in Austin. Is worth 6 pts, so Oklahoma game in Dallas is definitely easier. As Les would say, ( Just Saying )
