He's better than #6 which is where Athon rated him. Too is good but not great. He has a Great Coach, OL, Receivers, and Defense

That’s true but I thought the word ONLY was also pretty easy to understand

Actually what he’s saying is the only reason Haskins or Tua had better stats than Burrow is because they had better team mates
The difference between 50 and 16 TD is not simply he had better WR and a better OL

Haskins and Tua are better QBs than Burrow, doesn’t mean Burrow can’t be very good in his own right

I never said he wasn't good... He is brash and tough as nails... He will be a very good QB for this years team... He reminds me of Mauck back in 2003... Just with a better football IQ........ he IS the leader of this team and they know it.............

He's got a much higher upside.

I know you didn’t, I was talking to you to begin with
We are all excited to see Burrow in year 2 and Mauck could be a great comparison.
Buckeye Ree is arguing that the ONLY reason Tua has better stats is because he has better teammates, while it is true the overall Alabama has better talent, it’s not like LSU is a DIII team. Both things can be true Tua has better talent around him and he can be the better QB.
As a side note, it’s interesting how it’s ok to run down the team to promote the QB or the coach but it’s not to be critical of either

Lolz
Yeah no other previous Bama QB has had those kinds of advantages before!

False and it's not even close. He may not even be the best all around QB on his own team. He is a great leader and tough as nails but he is a fairly inaccurate QB which he proved all last year and in the spring game. Obviously he will have a chance to prove he has gotten better and more consistent(his biggest issue but he does show flashes and makes some great throws from time to time) as a passer once the season starts and I hope he does. so many people can't see the truth and are blinded by their purple and gold glasses and refuse to take them off to give a true unbiased opinion based on the product on the field

But it is their soft regular season schedule that helps pave their way to the playoffs year after year.
well yeah Bama cant play themselves.

How dare you. HOW DARE YOU share an optimistic view and show confidence in an LSU QB before the season even starts. You're no LSU fan, stop trolling this board with your positive outlook and substantiated praise of Joe Burrow. He's OUR average QB we want to be right about him being a middle of the pack SEC QB so terribly bad that we're going to down vote you over 200 hundred times.
PS. I agree that Joe may be the best QB in the SEC this year.

I love Burrow. He’s a solid QB and a great team leader. I don’t know why we can’t just leave it at that without making sensational shite up about him.
Posted on 5/19/19 at 1:47 pm to lsu2006
It’s an attempt to make O look better. If Burrow is touted as some all-time successful QB, then it follows that the guy who was coach when he came to Baton Rouge deserves credit for it.
Posted on 5/19/19 at 1:52 pm to Buckeye Jeaux
Which QB played behind the better OL? Bama
Better Wide Receivers? Bama
Handed off to the better Running Backs? Bama?
Better Defense? Bama
Would those facts affect the play/performance of a Quarterback?
Oh, I didn't mention the officials. ;)

Much higher upside?
Mauck had a completion percentage of 64% and 28 TDs in his last season. If Burrow does that it'll be a significant (but realistic) improvement from last season and we'll be in good shape.
People that expect him to turn into a guy that completes passes at a 69%+ clip and throw for 35+ TDs are deluding themselves.
