Grade of C, at best. Failure to restructure the defense has soured whatever hype he came in with. Misusing key players, and being too stubborn to stick with House's plan. House should have been fired mid season, when our defense was recognized as a joke.

Need some dogs in defense

Difference, potentially, is recruiting.
2025 looks good but we have yet to fill major positions of need in 2024.
Plus the SEC is only getting more competitive with expansion.
I generally am optimistic BK will find a way to get this team in the hunt, but he has a much more difficult path IMO than any coach before him.

Anyone who thinks BK can’t coach his arse off is nuts. You can go by his record which is more than respectable for his first 2 seasons, but you also need to see what Hugh Freeze and Billy Napier have done in that time. Hugh Freeze lost to New Mexico State and blew a 99.9% ESPN probable win vs Bama. Napier is probably fired in 2025. aTm just got a 7-5 ACC coach, who edged out a 7-5 SEC coach. To be honest, it might work out that MSU kicked all of their asses in the coach hiring department.
We were very, very fortunate to get this guy.

Good post!
If you objectively look around the country, there are only a handful of Tier 1 coaches that will almost guarantee your program is successful, and competing for championships. LSU has one of them.
