Just like the season openers for the last two years. Fairly close teams, but we’ve been out coached in all 3. You have 200 yards passing in the first half, then Kelly said they were daring us to pass, so why not keep passing?! Too much like Miles.

This is disappointing to read.
This is not the LSU way.

Sorry, but y’all that are dumping on Kelly for his remarks either didn’t listen, did listen but are too stupid to comprehend, or are just flat out pussified.
Were there some in-game coaching errors? Sure. Were they the totality of the game? No.
I heard him take personal blame but also hold players accountable.
The two unsportsmanlikes alone, were difference-makers in the game. Full stop. Period. GFY if you don’t think so.
Getting in the red zone 3 different times with only 6 points to show for it against strong competition is just below par - plain and simple.
Add in the lack of total and cohesive ‘killer instinct’ and that’s all she wrote.
The other failures -coaching or otherwise- were just lagniappe.
And yes, USC (QB included) did make plays that LSU didn’t and they did not have unnecessarily suicidal penalties.
Kelly took blame and said he personally needs to do better.
But in this case, certain players’ actions especially, and certain team mentalities generally (I’m talking again to you, killer instinct), have to be owned by the players.
This game was so winnable it’s not even funny but, as has been said since forever, the coaches aren’t on the field playing the game…

No his sorry arse. Nuss had 191 yards in the first half picking them apart. 2nd half Einstein decided we needed to establish the run to win. He pull the twins back on Nuss until we were in obvious passing situations. He is such an arse that he can't take credit for this loss himself.

No he didn't. Nuss was the one bright spot.
Go rewatch the game and pressure he got and his completions. He absolutely made the plays when things were not there and Nuss missed plays - he dumped it off Far too quick and when we badly needed a play at the end he didn’t make it.
