No, 2024.
if he is cleared during tomorrow’s meeting, then he will be eligible this season

quote:He won’t be “cleared” tomorrow. Best he can hope for is a plea deal that is within the grounds of allowing him back on the team effective immediately

If he can get it plead down to a misdemeanor he will be back on the team

What do you think his attorney meant when he said this?

The sufficiency of the State’s response will either be amicably resolved on the 17th

“Amicably resolved” is an acceptance of terms, AKA plea deal

A lot of posters owe him an apology
The criticism was and is still fair. He still F**ked up. He still put himself and LSU Football in a bad position / situation. Even if he did nothing.

Amicably resolved could also mean the state deciding to drop or lessen charges against Holly. It seems possible that it could be resolved by tomorrow.
More details on what his attorney is looking forward to in court tomorrow:

"I'm very confident based upon my interviews with my client that he will be exonerated, I feel very strongly about that," Small said.
Small says he might be able to speed up the legal proceedings based on the prosecution's evidence.
"There could very well be an avenue and that will depend to a great extent on what is turned over to me by the prosecution," Small said.
Small has requested to see the evidence the prosecution has against his client. He expects to get that information in two to four weeks and at that time he could provide more details on why he believes Holly is not guilty. — (this is what he recently received from the state & will discuss with judge in court tomorrow)
"I'm very hopeful that once we get the responses to those motions that the prosecution and I can have some realistic discussions about what I believe to be the facts of this case,"
Small said.

If the state was going to drop charges they do so at anytime. There is zero reason for them to wait for a conference
Now, could the judge dismiss charges? Yes, but that isn’t “an amicable resolution”, that’s the judge making the unilateral decision against the state, which is possible

Just saw on FB per Aaron Dietrich where the status conference has been delayed to September 18th.

Yep… that sucks.
quote:
Holly’s attorney, Michael Small, announced that the status hearing scheduled for July 17th had been postponed until September 18th. This delay is a significant setback for Holly, who had been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to clear his name and return to the gridiron.
The prosecutor and Small requested the change of dates, Small said, as the State was still in the process of providing the discovery evidence to which Small said he was entitled, pursuant to various pretrial discovery motions he had previously made.
“The status conference previously scheduled before Judge Clement in Union Parish for tomorrow has been continued to September 18th at 1 pm,” Small said. “The prosecutor and I requested this change of dates because the State is still in the process of providing to me the evidence to which I am entitled pursuant to my various pretrial discovery motions.”
It is unlikely that Holly will be able to rejoin the team until at least after the September 18th hearing, unless head coach Brian Kelly decides to allow him back before the case’s adjudication process begins.
