I agree I'm not a big Etling fan, I say that only because of his body frame not skills...Hurts can run that's why he didn't look bad also our OLine isn't solid just yet a few missed blocks and Myles head will come off

Etling will be our starter game one and until he stinks it up or gets injured Brennan will not play at all. There is no reason to rush this kid into the SEC, let him develop. If Brennan overtakes Etling and starts the first game then I will be the first to say you are a prophet and LSU will have a great season and we are all are happy

Starting a true freshman in the SEC behind what is likely a very average at best offensive line would be a disaster.

Brennen WILL start in 2018. Now I do believe that he gets playing time and not just in garbage time but I think he gets competive snaps at some point this season, then if he performs that much better then he might possibly start to take over more minutes.
There is just NO way that this guy will start against some of these SEC teams and then most are HUGE away games, which never go well for true frosh QBs. Y'all need to really think about this for a second. Etling isn't the greatest QB but he's mature, competive as it gets, has plenty of experience, and really isn't that bad of a QB. LSU fans need to stop looking at these little ole scrimmage stats which we know nothing about as even remotely comparable. Just stop, you all sound silly.
