What do we know about his wheels? I had been assuming that he was kind of a statue but after watching the highlight reel on the homepage, he looks to be maneuvering well both inside and outside of the pocket. Check out the play at the 2 minute mark (granted was against NSU).

clearly not as good as burrow, but definitely underrated in that aspect imo. he’s not slow either

Agreed. Burrow did seem to get better scrambling as the season went on. Or at least the scrambles were more dramatic against better pass rushes. Hopefully it can become a weapon for Brennan. It is interesting to think about whether we win at the same rate without Burrow's ability to run and get first downs.

Way better than we would think. He ran a lot in HS very good athlete w extreme arm talent. I’m looking forward to it.

Brennan has wheels. But he’ll need 20 more pounds in order to take hits. Also, it remains to be seen how HIS instincts, toughness, moxie - compared to #9

He can move. I have feeling Brennan won’t be as big of a drop off that people think. I don’t expect another Heisman performance, but I’m thinking he can put some big numbers. I also think we’ll see a more balanced offense. I don’t think they’ll put the game on his shoulders entirely. They’ll give the running game some more load this year.

Brennan can move. Watch the alabama game from 2 years ago when we had matt canada. They put brennan in for a few series and he showed some speed escaping the pocket

This is all a pleasant surprise to me. I was thinking that it was well documented that he had gotten up to a pretty good playing weight. He doesn't appear to me to be any less able than Burrow to absorb hits, intangibles aside.

There’s only one Joe Burrow just like there’s only one Tom Brady. Let Miles Brennan be his own quarterback. Kid has tons of talent and a rocket for an arm. Not everyone is a scrambler.

Not sure I agree with this take. If we are going to spread it out like we've all grown to love, there will be times when a LB or some other position has a free run at the QB. Seems to me that, in addition to hitting the underneath screen, the ability to scramble is essential in this offense.

He definitely has some good escapability. The difference is he’s more of a slider where Joe would be more comfortable taking the tackle.

Just wanted to chime in here since we live on MS Gulf Coast and my kids go to Stanislaus. I saw Myles play in about 30 HS games and here is my take. He threw on just about every down and rarely threw to RBs so having "touch" is an adjustment. He's more athletic than you would think with deceptive speed but I don't view him as a "scrambler". He likes to throw the football and does it very well. Very accurate, really live arm and he will have no trouble throwing the ball down the field. Fade wise and 59/50 balls, I've heard several LSU guys say he's as good if not better than JB. We shall see.

Myles plays with a very intense motor where you will see him moving quickly, ordering players to hurry up, etc... He has put on about 25 lbs since HS but filling out wise is still and works in progress.

Early on at LSU there was a question about his ability to lead and he was aware of that but after watching and learning from JB for two years, I don't see that being an issue. He's ready but will he be as good as Joe, I doubt it. There's only one Joe Burrow.

Burrow’s ability to scramble had more to do with his IQ of the game than actually being fast. Once Brennan gets a better understand of the game he will be able to scramble like Burrow did.

he may have close to the same straight line speed as burrow, but not nearly the same elusiveness. His footwork in the pocket is actually quite good. I remember hearing about the insane pocket movement drills he did in high school. He definitely a good athlete

On another note it’s critical to have the ability to run a few plays against dynamic defenses, It won us the BAMA game.

I think he is deceptively elusive...we will be fine at QB as long as the line holds up and I think it will.

Geaux Tigers!!!
