I just simply don't understand the love for Ole Miss. To say they will finish in the top half of the SEC West is bullshite.

The article doesn't say that, it says the will be battling to be in the top half...

Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a minute. The best possible record is 7-1, but then after playing these 4 teams...

quote:

11-1 Tulane
11-8 Alabama
11-15 Bye
11-22 Mississippi
11-28 @ Arkansas

...the best possible record is 10-2? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

Why is this so difficult????

After the Block BEFORE that run, the "expected record" is 6-2.....THERFORE, the best possible record (AFTER going 6-2) would, indeed, be 10-2.

"*Note* The predicted records at the end of each game block are based on the whole season up to that point. For example, SEC Sports Hub is saying that the best possible record for LSU after the first 5 games is 5-0. However, after the first 8 games their best possible record is 7-1. This does NOT indicate they will SEC Sports Hub thinks they will definely lose a game from #6 - #8, but that by that point in the season they will have accumulated at least 1 loss to someone on their schedule."

In other words, that doesn't necessarily mean that the second loss come from the final block, but that their best case possible record at the conclusion of the season is 10-2.

Who is going to beat us in block 4 and give us our third loss? He doesn't really make a prediction.

You have to read the note at the beginning. Says that the third loss doesn't necessarily come from that block, but that it's expected LSU will have 3 losses by seasons end.

yes the bama fans were unbearable. same old posts every minute..."lsu will fall back to mediocricy". the les miles bashing is at an all-time high among the gumps. way too many homers on that site.

btw-i predict 9-3

What's so hard to believe? I'm not predicting that score. I think it will be close as always.

But if any QB plays flawlessly, then he hits all the best options, makes no errant passes, audibles to the right call every time, etc.

Who would have thought that we would have beaten a top 10 team last year by a lot more than 21? Or the previous #1 team in the country by almost that much?

It could happen.

And, for the record, the best possible record would be 12-0. The author of this article needs to learn how to write properly.

I said we would lose three games this year and everyone here thought I was insane to think LSU could lose 3 games.

Its amazing how clear things can be without P&G glasses on.

So if our walk-on QB or Fresh QB makes zero mistakes and plays the most perfect game ever, its possible. Yea I guess so but its higly unlikley. HIGHLY UNLIKLEY!!

I like how he criticized the quality of the writing prior to saying all that too...

Thanks for the description of flawless play

Pretty much what most reasonable people here expect. Best case 10-2 and return to SEC Championship. Worst case 8-4, Music City bowl.

Expected, 9-3, no SEC Championship visit, hello Peach Bowl.

I don't get it. I see and understand that he expects us to lose to Auburn and Florida, but based on his analysis I didn't see who else he thought we'd lose to? The only other possibility is Bama???

It is reasonable to assume that we will lose to either MSU, USC, Bama, Ole Miss or Arkansas. That is where you get the third loss from.

Georgia has an even more important matchup with Florida following the LSU game and could get caught looking ahead. In any case, LSU will be doing well to pull out two wins from this stretch. They are certainly capable of pulling out all three, but it's fairly unlikely.

Ga get caught looking ahead!!!!

fairly unlikely to win all three.... :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
