Lee has the intangibles that Jefferson doesn't.
It seems like it.

The cringe factor is absent also. A couple of years ago, every time Lee threw a pass, I cringed.
Glad it's gone for you, I still fear every drop back. Guess it's just 2008 playing out in my head.
That first pass he threw to Shep

Without looking Id guess this was due to the 1 long run Jefferson had.
It was.
But if you took out each QB's big play (83 yard run for JJ, 49 yard pass for Lee)... JJ still had better yards per play.
I think it's equally silly to credit or discount either one and not the other.

If you watch the replay, JJ was hit as he threw. Not entirely his fault.
Looks like he got rid of the ball before he was hit. He just hasn't been effective throwing the football.

I see your point, but you have to admit that it's much more likely that we'll see another 49 yard pass from Lee than that we'll see an 83 yard run from JJ.

My palms were sweating a little when Lee came in against Tennessee after the JJ interception. My heart dropped when he just slung that first pass to Ware (perfect pass FWIW).
Now that we've seen him through significant playing time this year, I'm more relaxed. I felt fine watching him on that last drive. After watching the replay of the fade route a few times, Lee had a very confident look to him.
We should be fine... 14-0 IMO FWIW FTW

I disagree with this logic.
The run by JJ was a once in a career fluke.
A 40+ yard pass from Lee is not a fluke.
If he got enough playing time, he would probably get a long gainer fairly often.

No surprise, JL is the best qb. Stats. or for loosers!!!

of JL? I realize two years ago....
But do you have the same feeling when JJ drops back to pass? He has HOW MANY ints this year?????

People keep saying this, but it's silly.
While I agree that Lee is much more likely to get a 49 yard pass (largely because the success of that doesn't entirely depend on him), JJ's run wasn't a "fluke."
It was a really well designed play that JJ read perfectly, made a guy miss and took to the house.

Yes.

My tensions ease by the performance.
And I agree. Lee looks like a completely different player out there. Excited to see him continue to play.

Lee isn't the one throwing repeated INT's this year. The QB battle is pretty settled according to the fanbase at this point regardless of who plays. The offense looks infinitely more confident with Lee at the helm. The constant attempts to prove otherwise really reek of desperation.

Yeah, I think he got rid of it before the hit. The pressure may have forced him to throw it sooner than he liked, but it was a stupid throw.

Going with the fanbases thoughts is always brilliant.

I guess you are accusing me here, but whatever.

However, acting like the offense was an abortion with Jefferson at the helm is truly a misnomer.
It was pretty bad for most of the first 5 games.
Thanks for the edit though.

Whether he got hit before the throw is largely irrelevant.
The real problem is that he never saw the defender.

I don't disagree. I put that INT 100% on JJ.
It was the same mistake Lee made repeatedly in 2008.

Aren't you attempting to prove your point to the fanbase? If not, are you trying to convince Miles? Does he post here?

What the hell are you talking about?
You said Lee is the QB cause the fanbase thinks so.
I'm saying that siding with the general thoughts of the fanbase is generally a really dumb idea.
