stooooooooooooooop; Brandon Sampson averaged 12 ppg in nearly 30 minutes of play the year before Wade got here. Brandon Sampson had free reign in Johnny Jones offense. No way in hell he would have started this fall in Baton Rouge. We all know the reason he left early. Down the depth charge he would have went.

He was cemented in as a starter before he got hurt. Wade called him the best player on the team last offseason. Don’t @ me

None of these play the same position as Sampson. Now there is some fluidity to basketball starting lineups, but you don’t necessarily play the 5 best players at the same time.
I’m not sitting here guaranteeing he was going to start, but there is more that goes into this than overall talent/production.

Lester Earl please stop. Brandon Sampson had 3 years in Baton Rouge that were average at best.
Like I said above, he played nearly 30 minutes per game under Johnny Jones on that dumpster fire of a team and barely put up 12 points her game.
This fall he would have averaged about 10 minutes per game. Let's not get it twisted.
