almost every hitter is getting too far out in front...open shoulders.
i would have started Ranaudo, then Coleman. this would almost guarantee a winner's bracket path and a whole lot more left in the bullpen. Bertman usually went with his ace in the first game thinking that the winner's bracket is more important than saving an ace for later

And the format of the regional is completely different nowadays so the approach is different.
