Morning Advocate - Parrish gives LSU 14 commitments for the Class of 2019 and pushes the Tigers’ ranking to No. 6 nationally according to Rivals, No. 7 according to 247Sports and No. 11 according to ESPN.

Morning Advocate - Suddenly, quarterbacks are flocking to LSU. After the Tigers were unable to sign a quarterback in the 2018-19 recruiting cycle, LSU has picked up a transfer for this season and a 2019 commitment in a little over a month, and has another commitment lined up for the Class of 2020.

Morning Advocate - Highly regarded dual-threat quarterback Peter Parrish from Phenix City (Alabama) Central announced his commitment Friday morning. His decision came shortly after what 247Sports.com described as a strong showing Thursday in LSU’s elite camp that earned Parrish a scholarship offer.

“I will be An LSU Tiger And Have Committed Today!!” Parrish announced on Twitter. He posted photos of himself with coach Ed Orgeron and members."

LSU hasn’t done an awful job of recruiting QBs. LSU has done an awful job developing QBs.

So, since we are using these rankings here, we are going to agree that LSU had the 6th most talented team last year, correct?

The guys that have been coming to LSU have had low floors and low ceilings. That's all I'll say.

With not much experience and even less leadership.

Well, I was told the team wasn't talented enough.

It was a talented team lacking depth at certain spots. If it wasn't a talented team they wouldn't have beaten Auburn

Good news on the Rant is always questioned

The Rant always clears up what seems to be nothing but good news

It's great news that the guy committed Cliff. I hope my post didn't come off as otherwise.

My issue is only with using the rankings when it suits a certain narrative. Let's use them all of the time or non of the time is the only thing I'm saying.

Yeah, that was pretty funny a few days ago when someone was really blasting the outfits that rank the players.

Cpt.Bengal was the guy I believe. What a clown.

Kind of both.

Didn’t matter what school guys like Jennings and Rettig went to, they weren’t good.

That’s recruiting.
