Bowl Game Showed What to Expect

The coaching staff giving JD and Nuss a rotation of series on offense gave us a good idea of what’s going on. While JD may be “QB1” we shouldn’t be surprised to see Nuss get a decent amount of snaps next season unless Daniels just has an all out Heisman year. Nuss may have also told the staff his intentions to stick out his time at LSU regardless of next season’s pecking order. With this in mind Walker saw the writing on the wall and didn’t want to gamble on being third string again for another year and then sitting behind Nuss the next year so he’s rolling the dice with a transfer. Ultimately, I guess we will see how it plays out but I would be extremely shocked if Nuss didn’t stick around now with the keys to the offense all but guaranteed in 2024 at the latest.
