Yes it could. The constant tirade might make them take a step back and decide that LSU is a program in decline and it's best to take their services elsewhere.

People are blinded by miles they think he hung the fricking moon. Who couldnt recruit in Louisiana after Saban built us in to a powerhouse program. Miles is the worst game day coach in the sec, period. Stop being a homer for a second and look
At how poorly the team was prepared for this game. The Lsu team couldnt leave new Orleans because someone painted a 50 yard line in Front of the bus. This is the shite I ha e to listen I all day. Miles Is a horrendous xs and o s coach, you don't have to be less of an Lsu fa. To state the obvious

Use of anger and abject humiliation of a proud people to rise in popularity. Not so unlike those who manipulate people when they are at their low or high moments. Extremes in emotions and situation make people vulnerable to influence.

Well hell, I guess nobody should ever criticize Les Miles then as it could hurt the program.

Yes, Germans starving, impoverished, reeling from war, and facing the ever constant threat of Communist revolution leading to Hitler's rise is like LSU fans agreeing with Bobby Hebert. Jesus H. Christ...

Flboo, shouldn't you be hanging out with your new gf!??

I'm not sure why anyone who is for LSU would think this is positive, productive or funny. Criticism is warranted but broadcasting this doomsday shite does nothing positive for anyone or anything related to LSU moving forward.
Projecting this fricking vile across the airwaves poisons the well at home. If you have an issue with your wife of gf do you just fricking call her out on it when you're at dinner with friends because "it's the truth?" No you don't, not if you give a shite about fixing it.
I'm not saying there are not problems, but look at it if it were Alabama or Ohio State, or Oklahoma and someone with Hebert's credentials and ties did this about a coach. We would laugh our fricking asses off at them.
This type of shite needs to be dealt with internally and not broadcast all over the country.
Hebert trashed out program big time, not just Miles and basically sought to erode general support. He's salting the earth. That doesn't help.
Let's look at Hebert for second: he's a Saints/New Orleans media guy with a likely disgruntled ex-player for a son. His best interest is to garner attention and notoriety for ratings and probably let off a little steam regarding his kid. None of that translates into giving a shite about making LSU better.
He may have some points but don't anoint him as some messenger of the fans, because he aint a fan. He doesn't' give a shite about the future like I assume we all do.
I'm pissed too, real pissed, but this kind of behavior only hurts us.

Not saying Les shouldn't get criticize. I've criticized him in my posts. However, for Bobby to go from network to network and proclaiming that he has forgotten more football than Les ever learned isn't criticizing. That's mocking. Mocking paints the program as rudderless and inept.
Les lost THE GAME. He also went 13-0 and won the SEC. This program is not rudderless nor inept. Bobby's constant tirade portrays the program as such. Elite recruits run away from that kind of program.

I listened tonight and didn't hear anything that fits that description. I thought the comment about forgetting more about football than Miles ever knew was over the line, but everything else seemed fair to me. I think some of you are seriously overreacting.

That's a pretty shitty thing to say, and it's getting personal. He basically said Miles did a shitty job preparing the team (warranted) took several personal/character jabs, sucked off Saban, said the entire football program under Miles (Tennessee, Ole Miss) was a joke, and that 80% of fans would trade Saban for Miles.
Do you think that helps the situation? If you're a kid or a parent in a similar position to Gunner Kiel in Indiana, what would your impressions be? Would the comments of an "insider" give you a favorable opinion?

He says he's not a journalist and speaks for fans. Journalist/media can be interchangeable. He's on the air 5-6 days a week. He's in the media first. He's personally pissed off due to his kid and has no reason to hold back. Why should he care about LSU, how does it have any impact? Fans care. Does he have that right? Absolutely. Do I have right to dislike someone trashing my school on the air in all 50 states. Yes I do.
Take in the context of your wife or job. Do you go out of your way to humiliate your wife, kid or coworker when you have an issue? If so, you're a pretty shitty husband, father or coworker.
Much criticism is warranted, but praising him as some hero is a bunch of bull.

I agree. Baby Hebert just can't help himself.
If you listened to Hebert, you would think he was a great QB, but he was actually a lot like JJ.
The Saints had the dome patrol that would be beating the 49ers and Joe fricking Montana 17-13. Hebert would trot out on the field and we would go 3 and OUT. Punt, three or four passes to Rice or Taylor and after winning the whole game, lose 20-17.
I lived though his bullshite as a player. That Saints defense carried his sorry arse to many victories. He was really just a mediocre QB (like JJ) that had the benefit of a killer D.
Late in the 89 season, we fell out of playoff contention and Mora benched Hebert for John Fourcade and even though we won the last three games with Fourcade, it was pretty obvious that he also sucked. However, Hebert, thinking he was dissed, pouted and SAT OUT the 90 season, insisting on being traded.
Without a QB in 90, we traded a 1,2,and 3 pick for Steve Walsh from Dallas (one of the reasons Dallas kicked arse through the early 90's. In 91 we got Baby Hebert resigned and in 92 had a good season until we got blasted by Philly in a home debacle.
Hebert ended up signing with the Atlanta fricking Falcons (and, yes they were our hated rivals back then) and eventually was a backup on their super bowl team.
The bottom line is that there is a mythology that Hebert is some sort of "Mr. Saint" when in reality it was all about BABY Hebert.

Ghostfacedistiller--thank you--you articulated what I wanted to say so much better.

Do you think that helps the situation?
Of course not. But does it hurt the situation? Is it an unfair opinion? No. The only way it can hurt the situation is if it can be perceived as true. And if it can, then it's not simply because Bobby is saying it, it's because it is apparent. You can disagree with him all you want, that's fine. But let's not sit here and condemn Bobby for giving an honest opinion. And the fact that he is upset if anything shows that he is a fan. If he wasn't, he wouldn't care.

Again, how do you know any of this? You don't. You're just speculating. I think Bobby is mad because Lee never got a shot off the bench. You have no evidence to support your claim that he is only upset and doing this because T-Bob didn't play.
And I don't think Hebert has trashed LSU at all. Another matter of your own perception but no support. He has criticized Miles' coaching and the gameplan. Quote me where he "trashed" the school.

bobby was right on!! the truth hurts!! the fans have been wanting an answer for years. Every year it's something. Have pride in LSU all we want, but with Miles being such a goofball for everyone to laugh at instead of a respectable figure like Saban is going to cost us.
And for all of you blind folks out there, i guarantee half of you even played football at a legit level. So why don't u listen to people who know. Miles is a joke
