When I moved to W Tx c. ‘04, I started to help coach Little League baseball in the withering heat. The Head coach always wore long sleeves. I asked him b/c I was like WTF?
He looked at me like, “oh, you’re new here”. He described it like the sleeves create a layer of shade and the wet materiel helps cool.
Maybe they know what they’re doing.
