Could it be a conditioning issue?

I didn't see Blue get hurt, but we seem to have injuries all over the field.

faulk and blue's injuries are just freak injuries and unlucky. had a friend in high school tear his acl on a routine punt fair catch. he just planted awkwardly and tore his acl. it sucks, but no i don't think it's a result of conditioning. we have the best strength and conditioning crew in the country.

Now that I've seen what Hill can do I'm not as concerned about Blue being out. Yeah he was the starter and all but this shouldn't mean an effect on the W/L column

You guys do realize that this is one position where we can actually sustain a loss right?

I love Blue and hes been great so far this season, but it is uor deepest position and we have one of the best stable of running backs in the entire country.

We have 3 guys with major game experience with Hilliard, Ware, and Ford. Experience, talent, and even without Blue, depth, is not something this group of RBs will be short in.

Again don't care about the depth. I'd rather lose any other back but Blue. IMO the others can fill in for the others, but Blue is the most complete runner IMO.

Thats beyond retarded. Quality depth is the most important thing when looking at a key injury.

We have the depth to make up for the injury. He might be, in your opinion, the most complete back, but we still have other talented ones that can do a more than adequate job of moving the football.

“I think we’ll get Ware back,” coach Les Miles said. “With Ford and Kenny Hilliard and Jeremy Hill, we should have plenty at tailback.”

This. Seems like we keep losing guys and everyone is saying we are good at depth don't worry about it. I understand we are good at depth but how many more injuries can we sustain and still compete at the high level that we expect

I understand the depth. There, maybe that's better?

I'm simply saying I still think it stinks. Trust me I recognize LSU has the best depth in the entire country the past 2 seasons. Period, and can overcome losing one player at any position.. but I still would hate losing him for the season.

Well shite, lets throw in the towel then because we all love Blue...Christ...we have plenty of other running backs who have PROVEN they can compete at the highest level of college football.

Yes, that is better.

That is all I said... I simply said we have the depth to sustain a loss at that position.

We all like Blue, we get it. We all liked Mathieu also, but he is gone and punt returns and cornerbacks look mighty good so far.

I said losing the kid for the year sucks, and it sucks worse for him, but this team can certainly overcome the injury with the frickin group of running backs chomping at the bit the get more carries. It ain't like the ones behind Blue are unproven, I mean come on.

I hate losing Blue but I sometimes think we have and use too many running backs if that is possible. Maybe having one fewer option (which may not be accurate considering how promising Hill looks) will help one or two guys get into a better rhythm. It should be less of a load anyway due to the improved passing game. And I feel like Ware gives us an advantage big time on passing downs because of his ability to pass block. That said, I hope Blue's injury is overstated because I love the guy's attitude and game.

Calm down nancy, no one is saying the wheels are coming off. The RB position won't miss a beat. The reaction is simply because he paid his dues and is now going down in his prime, that's all.

Now we all know why Hill saw action instead of keeping the redshirt.
