We're not good enough to beat either Texas or Alabama so I'm ok with not being in that game.

Did you watch the LSU-Bama game this year? Did you watch the UT-Nebraska game?

Our coaching staff, ugly wins, Ole Miss, Alabama-not too bad. Our terrible play calling against Florida like we just wanted to lose by the least margin possible and playing scared.

The loss to Ole Miss. But that's over and done with; time to think about finishing the season with a 10th win and then moving on to 2010.

I'd love to have the last 2 minutes of the Ole Miss game back.

Ole Miss by a mile.
Turrible offensive playcalling.
Ugly wins.

Now lets beat Penn St.

1. O-line play: I thought they would be dominant this year.
2. The fans: I never saw so much complaining about a 9-3 season.
3. Play calling: How could it have been any worse?

Seeing Scott walk off the field with a season ending injury after he had smashed the Bama D for almost 90 yds in 2 & 1/2 periods.

I predicted a 9-3 season back in January, so I'm not disappointed in the record. What's more, we were competitive in every game, no 51-21 or 31-13 blow outs. At the same time it's fair to say we could've easily been 6-6 this season. So, while I'm cool with the 9-3 record, how we got there is—well, it just left a lot of question marks for a 9-3 team. I'm hoping for a bowl win and then a stronger, more dominant performance in 2010. Next season is huge for the coaching staff, we'll just have to see what happens.

Oddly enough, I feel as if Texas is probably the only team in the top 5 that we would have a pretty legit chance of beating right now. I was at the game where they played Baylor and although they wiped Baylor all over the field, I noticed several of the chinks in their armor would pair up nicely with our strengths:

Peterson would absolutely shut down Shipley. Texas hasn't sniffed a secondary like ours all year. Nebraska has at best a very mediocre secondary and Texas still couldn't move the ball.

Texas' running game is on par with ours and against worse defenses. Herbstreit constantly mentions how their running games really is their short passing game. I feel that Coleman and Shephard would neutralize that threat.

Finally, Texas is a team we could really have some success throwing the ball around on. We would have our shots downfield and crossing routes are open all day (see the A&M game). They also have trouble defending passes to tailbacks out of the backfield and we seem particularly fond of that play.
