LINE of SCRIMMAGE
Every year they beat us solidly in the trench.
They do not have superior skill positions.
LSU must get better Lines built.
We always look great to lesser programs but always inferior to top programs.
Until this is working all other topics are blabber.

Great point but you can add ole miss and Arkansas to that as well
I think depth played its part in those games as well
Keep in mind we had new starters at just about every position on the oline
New starters at Defensive end and were very thin at dtackle and backers

jledet - I fully agree. You hammer the point home.
Mediocre skill position players look great with stout O and D Lines.
If LF7 ran behind Bama's OL and had their D supporting him he would out perform Henry.

Bama wants championships, and they don't settle for less.
LSU is perfectly content with 2nd or 3rd place in the SECW and a lovable, wacky head coach.

The biggest difference is that Alabama doesn't lack depth in any position. They are what I like to call stacked and every position

Biggest difference is one has Saban and one has miles. Saban is a defensive guru who appears to be good at that. Miles is an offensive guru who isn't that good at that.

We don't even have any linebackers returning next year

Alabama would never waste many years and great talent by putting up with a clown coach.

Bama stockpile DL and LB who are monsters not short quick guys. Manageable qbs who dont have to be Super Athletes bur can pass the ball when needed.
Les stockpile Pretty Skillz guys who his offense rarely showcases. Small LB and a slew of Corners.
Saban is glad Miles is staying.
