It's fitting that Baltimore has a role in the second act of McDonald's professional life. One of the most heralded prospects of all-time, McDonald was selected by the Orioles as the No. 1 overall pick in the 1989 Major League Baseball Draft. McDonald played seven seasons in Baltimore, and though he experienced his share of highs and lows during his time in orange and black, McDonald was thrilled when the Orioles asked him to join their broadcast team.

This season, fans will get to hear more of McDonald than ever, as he will take part in more than 30 games on the Orioles Radio Network beginning in late July.

Ben McDonald's 2nd act - McDonald, 50, began his broadcasting career as an analyst for his alma mater, Louisiana State

Good for Ben.

Incoming CSB

I worked with a teacher in Wichita that appearently went on a date with McDonald while she was in college (according to her anyway). She seemed like an honest person so im not sure wh she would lie about it.

Ben looks like Ed Orgeron’s love child in that family photo.

In High School, I worked summer jobs on a farm that was owned by an old man named McDonald. That's weird too.

If you really want to make a thread to discuss people two-timing LSU, maybe you could start one about how Orgeron weaseled his way into a head coaching job by telling lies about what he was going to do. And then another about the dumb arse AD, who fell for the lies and hired him???

I served in the Navy with a guy named Pedro.

If we're not related, we're at least shipmates.
