Emerging on the scene as a rising sophomore, Rosenthal immediately became a national recruit with hype that he could be a potential No. 1 overall recruit in the country as a senior. That spring, he verbally pledged to Alabama, much to the dismay of the LSU faithful.
quote:

Early in 2016, Rosenthal opted to move to Florida and attend IMG Academy. A month later, he returned home. Most viewed that as exceptionally positive news for LSU. Later that Spring, Rosenthal took in LSU’s Boys from the Boot event, and a couple months later decided to de-commit from Alabama.
quote:

By the Spring of his Senior season, he stacked up a list of offers that would rival anyone in the country. Auburn, Michigan, Florida, Georgia, Oregon, Miami and Ohio State. Rosenthal sported all the earmarkers of a true difference making recruit.
quote:

Rosenthal ranks as four star but only barely crossing that threshold. In fact, he spent much of the year ranked as a three star and therein lines the great mystery of Rosenthal. The prospect one time heralded as a potential No. 1 overall, the guy who stood 6-foot-7 since his sophomore season, the guy wanted by Bama, Michigan, LSU, Ohio State, Georgia and others... that guy is damn near a consensus three-star? It’s not one service whiffing on him, this is every major recruiting service looking at him and not seeing much. And I can’t exactly figure out why.

This guy doesn't realize that Dare was a 5-star Olineman and when he decided to switch to defense for college he became a 3-star and worked his way back to 4-star status.

quote:

About that year? Yes, he registered 60 tackles, 30 TFL and six sacks on defense while racking up 43 pancakes on offense. /hubba hubba noises
quote:

The athleticism sticks out. He can really move. Whether it’s pulling as an OL, chasing down a ball carrier or just generally being explosive, those tools are all in the box.

quote:

High End: All-American, top 5 draft pick
Low End: Transfer
Realistic: All-SEC, future Left Tackle

This isn’t the way things are supposed to go during A-Day weekend. The University of Alabama is supposed to pick up some verbals and not lose them. Nonetheless, the class of 2018 for the Crimson Tide lost one of its only two verbals on Saturday.
quote:

The 6-foot-7, 290-pound prospect is currently on a visit to LSU in Baton Rouge. He is rated the No. 10 tackle and the No. 53 overall player in the class by 247Sports.
quote:

It could just be a deal where he wants to make sure of his decision. Sometimes, the high school recruits will jump on board too soon and not check to see what other schools have to offer. Hopefully, things will work out for the Tide in the end. For some reason, I think things will turn out like they always do on National Signing Day because of Nick Saban.

I can’t wait until he realizes he’s a LT. He will be a good one.

I’m a big fan of the “recruit them as whatever they want to play and move them to the right position”

Show this kid what LTs make.

Money talks start kicksliding.

Listing stats is useless in his 2a district. I played in that district way back when for another school and to say the level of competition is lacking is being generous.

He needs a college strength and conditioning program first and foremost.
Once he gets in shape I think he can help on DL.
I still think he eventually gets a look at OT especially with depth if he wants to see the field quicker

I agree. He is just a big kid, but he needs to be moffitized asap. That pic of him with his shirt off at practice does not look intimidating.

I thought rankings don’t matter? Why do you care if he was in consideration to be the #1 recruit in the country?

Well, you aren't very smart so who cares what you think.

It was in the article I quoted, Moron.

I assure you he knows far more about recruiting than you do.
