Should I invest in GEAUX ZONE? Am I able to watch LSU football games live through GEAUX ZONE? Also does anyone know of a way to record games onto a laptop to watch if I have to work etc... I am on a military base so I have AFN but its no guarantee that I will be able to watch the game. Thx in advance...

If the games are on the ESPN network you can catch it on Watch ESPN. I am not sure how to catch it on the CBS network. I was figuring on just downloading the torrent from Ten Yard Torrent.

I am in the kind of in the same boat. I will be living and working in Australia for 6 months starting in 2 weeks. I have to find a way to watch my Tigers play.

Solid suggestion but Watch ESPN does not work with the ISP and this base does not have a US IP. I could mask the IP but I am back to the original problem of the ISP not being supported by ESPN3...

Thanks! I will add that to the Favs!

Is GEAUX ZONE worth it? Better Quality feed? What about recording? Or if I miss a game?

Thanks again for the help. I just want to fix this before its a PROBLEM and I am just angry for the season opener.

the geauxzone used to be free to military folks, so if you are active (or know someone who is), I would try that first...unfortunately, I don't think football is broadcast live there, though.

there seems to be no single place to get the football broadcasts...it will be on a game-by-game basis...lots of time, justintv will be your only option...

Thx I emailed them to see if it is still free. I haven't heard back from them yet. Even if I get the game like an hour or so after it airs would be great with me.

I know beggars can't be choosers but I have no problem spending a few bucks for reliability and a HD feed.

I have used JTV in the past and in the middle of the game the Channel cuts our etc... So frustrating when that happens... But like I said MUCH better than nothing at all. Thanks again

CBSsports.com and the CBS sports app have streams of the 2:30 games from their site. No password or subscription required. GeauxZone will give you high quality replays if you subscribe.

Dude, I was last overseas in 2007-08 (Qatar). I saw every meaningful game that year on AFN. If we play on CBS or ESPN, AFN will carry it. It won't be as bad as you thing. Back when AFN had only one channel, it was a lot more difficult. I remember watching the '97 LSU-Florida game at 3am! Those are the sacrifices we make though! Where will you be stationed?

Does the CBS or ESPN app work in Europe? I'm going to be in Paris for the TCU game and I haven't been able to find any bars open at 3am to watch it.

I second the firstrowsports.eu suggestion. I will be in China during the TCU game, hopefully I can get a connection quick enough to stream through the site.

This. AFN carried all but four games in 2007. If the Tigers are on ESPN or CBS you'll get them. I don't know about apps, but online streaming doesn't work from foreign sites unless you know how to trick the system. Google "Slingbox" - I know lots of folks who use this and swear by it - but I've never used it.

I am currently in Japan but bounce all over Asia. I am stationed in the states though, just deployed.

The problem with AFN is multiple people on one TV and majority rules on the game to watch...

Thx for your time in the desert. We rotate between desert and Japan to try to even things out for everyone.

I am just one of those guys that watches every play of every game No matter what. I remember being in the student section for a 1030 Moo State game from hell, or the South Carolina torrential down poors etc... So needless to say I want to watch as much as I can.

Also you are right about apps and streaming. This whole Cant Stream Region Restricted Crap really pisses me off esp since I am technically on US soil on a military base.... Why on earth the TV companies Networks etc don't make it easier on folks outside the US really ticks me off..........

On all 3 of my deployments (Iraq, and Afghanistan) I was able to walk down to the mwr or the chow hall and catch the games. Last year AFN covered 75% of LSU's games. The Internet was way too slow to try and stream anything.

slingbox works very well, as long as you have the bandwidth to support it...trouble is, when overseas you typically have slow internet connections and it just doesn't work well...worth a try if you have nothing else, though...

I don't care about watching live so I'm thinking of going with Geaux Zone. Does anyone know how quickly the games are added?

I have been away for 11 years and never missed a game.

1. Get a Slingbox
2. Get ESPN Player
3. Get all the cable you can get your hands on-FOX, ESPN, ESPN America, etc...
4. Get VPN and get CBS Sports.com
5. Get ready for First Row Sports if needed
6. Collect other streaming sites in case

You should be covered!!!

Link to this site, please.

I typed in "firstrowsports.eu", I went to a site that instructed me to install an app that screwed up my computer. Now, when I google "first row sports" several different sites come up, none of them with that url.

ESPN Player is your best bet along with Slingbox. Try these:
