How about Rick Clausen in the 2nd half in '05. Absolutely tore our D a new one and everyone wanted Pelini run out of town

Shaun Alexander and Kenny Irons already stated but they dominated as well

Shaun Alexander and Rex Grossman both come to mind, and unfortunately I was at both games. Alexander looked like an NFLer among high schoolers and Grossman made it look like our defense was playing with 9 men.

Rextopher in 2001.

Passing Cmp-Att-Int Yds TD Long Sck
-------------------------------------------
Rex Grossman 22-32-1 464 5 63 1

Two receivers over 100 yards and could have had more had ball coach not put in Brock Berlin to throw a pick. The LSU faithful cheered as he didn't go to LSU and frick him, that's why.

Post script on Brock:

Passing Cmp-Att-Int Yds TD Long Sck
-------------------------------------------
Brock Berlin 4-9-1 40 1 18 0

DIAF for that TD at the end though.

Dameyune Craig in '97. His stats weren't earth-shattering, but he just kept making play after play after play...And that was with Cecil rushing for over 200.

This was a painful game. Forget Alexander, what about this stat line?

Bryan Sparacino 35-8-2 133 0 51 0

That is ugly!

Carter in 1998:

Rushed 11 times for 62 yds (sacked 3 for 21, so net of 41 yds rushing)

27 of 34 passing for 318 yds and 2 TD's

Rick Clausen threw for 196 yds against LSU, not exactly a statistical gem.

yea whats up wit that?? was tyler not the starter at that time? or did he get hurt??

but i do remember the receiver's being just as bad as the qb in that game, i know atleast 3 times foster and frazier had their men beat down the sideline and could have easily scored TD's but the ball went right through their hands

Saw these on TV and was glad I wasnt there.

I recall Oregon State had some big white WR that tore us up in 2004. Maybe his numbers werent extraordinary but he really seemed unstoppable that night.

Actually the McFadden/Felix/Hillis combo together was pretty incredible. This wasnt a crappy 90s LSU defense they tore through. And what hurt even more is that Missouri had no issues at all in stopping Arky just a couple weeks later. I'm still glad LSU didnt have to play OK or Mizzou in 2007, considering the way the defense played later in the year.

Grossman impressed the hell out of me in '01.

I sat beside Brock's mom and she insured me brock was not transferring to Miami. Think his sister was a student at LSU.

I still remember Francione holding onto to Sabans arm and not letting go and verbally ripping into him after the game.

I remember Bama boards after that game. To a man, everyone was saying what a douche Saban was, how LSU would never do anything under him and how they were glad that he wasn't coaching the Tide.

Funny how words can come back on you after a few years, isn't it?

ETA: As to the original point of the thread, I'd go with Alexander as well. The Tigers knew that he was coming and they had no idea on how to stop him.
