Walk-on's was horrible when it first opened. I didn't go back for about 5 years, but I tried them again a couple of weeks ago and the zydeco shrimp poboy was actually tasty.

Your best bet for decent food is under the overpass off Perkins. Check out the Overpass Merchant.
Good eats around TS are slim to none. If I had to choose one I would say chimes, solely based on their rotating taps.

Overpass Merchant

City Pork
Degeulio Bros
Rama
But I wouldn't call that walking distance. You could do it, but I wouldn't recommend it.

yea there are alot of good places under the overpass but its a long walk. i live right behind ivars and the walk is pretty long
