I just said he is better than Dak. lsu2006 and I had a constructive discussion about it. Two or three pages ago I told him if I'm wrong he can bump this thread and I'll eat crow.

The SEC is down outside the top 3. Care to refute? I never said anything remotely close to WKU facing legit competition. I stated Vandy has a top 30 defense. Come on baw, you don't have to make up stuff, I've stated plenty of things that we can have an honest discussion about.

You also tried to legitimize Vandy's competition as well. I'm not making anything up. You're doing your damnedest to make this WKU QB seem legit, and frankly I don't get why.

My 2 cents....I'm worried about ANY QB who can complete a forward pass. It's clear to see that our DBs have been out of synch to some degree so far this season. We've inexplicably left receivers/TEs open all season and having a pass-happy team (that has demonstrated some success thru the air) come into TS with nothing to lose concerns me a bit.
Their strength against one of our weaknesses.

The stats just don't back this up. The only teams to pass for over 200 on us have been SEC teams. Our coverage is mildly suspect on occasion, but WKU has faced nothing like what we'll be bringing in the front 7.

Dink and dunk is what every team that faces LSU should try and do. The times that our defense has seemed/looked inept is when a our d has been dinked and dunked all the way down the field.
If this team is good at that they might be able to move the ball on us.
Their problem (hopefully) is that we are able to move the ball at will.
I am a long way from predicting an upset but as far as cupcake games go this one certainly has the potential to be another of those crazy upsets.
Not predicted an upset though. If we play just decent for us we will win no problem.

this is the key to the whole game. This QB has a quick release and a short drop most of the time. If we get to him or disrupt his timing, then all is well. If I'm Steele, I'm playing tight press coverage on all of their receivers and hitting those frickers in the mouth every time the ball is snapped.

see here's the thing guy. I'm going to assume that you are young. I've seen where you are giving people advice on other forums, things like don't worry about making A's...just network well. See, that's pretty sorry in my book. Appears you are one of those that like to cut corners without putting in the hard work. What's wrong with making all A's, AND networking.
Back when I used to do the interviewing for my firm...I was considered a very tough interviewer. I'm one of those that likes to prod...to test the depth of your intelligence...your ability to think on the fly....see I don't mind an unfavorable solution, whether it's right or wrong, if you can back it up with intelligent, solid data.
So, yes, I'll refute your theory.
The SEC has 9 teams that currently have 2 losses or less, and also has 4 teams with 1 loss or less. In addition, there are 2 other teams that DON'T have a losing record. So that is 11 teams that don't have a losing record in the SEC. Can you support the data for other conferences that contains a resume such as that?
Granted, some of our lesser 3 have had some losses, namely Arkansas against Toledo, and Vandy against Western Kentucky....but then one of our three losing record teams has a win over North Carolina...which their only loss on the year was against South Carolina. Also, Tenn made a good showing against Oklahoma, and quite frankly choked that game away.
So, while the SEC is top heavy...as you claim, the bottom half of the teams are significantly better than the bottom feeders of other conferences. Case in point, by far the worst team in the SEC went down to the wire against the top team in conference USA...losing 14-12....and let's not forget that beating that A&M put on Arizona State, and Alabama put on Wisconsin.
You have the floor. Make your case of which conference is stronger than the SEC.
