Has there ever been a coaching staff this good at LSU? It seems like every position is in good hands. You really can't ask for a better defensive staff. The offensive staff has done an impressive job this year, too.

Overall, 2003 was a better staff. If LM was the coach in 2003, it would have been awesome! IMO

Clearly this is our best coaching staff ever.

From the HC on down.

Clearly? You must have forgotten 1908.

Four head coaches from the 2003 staff. Don't know of another school that could make that claim.

This staff may not have as many future head coaches but it has some of the best quality position coaches in the country.

And I would agree with that excluding Nick.

Stud will be a highly sought after OC and head coach before it said and done. Wilson is the best rb coach we have had I think.

Krags might be a better qb coach then fisher, but we just don't know. Chavis is as good as muschamp but better then pelini IMO.

Cooper is the best db coach ever at lsu, Haley might be the best DL coach at lsu. I don't know where to put einsminger and gonzo though

Really? Not that I like Nick Saban but really?

The 2003 team had Dooley, Muschamp, and Fisher.

Not to mention Travis Jones, who is currently a New Orleans Saints asst. D-Line coach.

Stan Hixon is also in the NFL now too!

That is why the 2003 coaching staff should be considered one of the best ever for LSU.

I don't know if Krags is better than Fisher as a QB coach. Krags is good but Fisher's resume with QB's is very impressive.

and MANY LSU fans bitched and moaned about how overly conservative he was and that he was not a good coach.... SOS.

I agree with the post that said this staff may not have as many future HCs on it but they are as good or better top to bottom.

I have not been overly impressed with Muschamp at Texas or so far at UF... time will tell how good he really is.

Really

Tennessee looks like shite, no other way around it, although I am sure their are miles of excuses. Muschamp? Florida looks worse then any Florida team I have ever seen. Excuses their too? Fisher has a ridiculous amount of talent and he plays in the acc.

I know it's to early to call them bust, but they sure aren't doing themselves any favors with their performance. I also think fisher will turn out the best

Really? I hate Saban and for the most part don't like any of the head coaches he helped move up the ranks, but FSU, Nebraska, and Tennessee were all pretty much dead programs when those guys took over. I would give Dooley more time before making a decision, but Pelini and Fisher are considered successes to their fanbases right now. Just because they aren't at LSU or because they were Saban coaches doesn't mean they have to suck. To say Fisher and Pelini are busts is pretty ignorant.

potentially 3 of the biggest crash and burn HCs in history

assistant d-line coach is nothing to write home about. The players hated him and he was caught up in some illegal land scheme.
