All of the people mentioned on here were great,no doubt about it.
But I was amazed that the obvious choice was completely left off everyone's list. How many LSU players have been All-American offense and "D". One and only one. How many players from LSU has won the Heisman. I watched this guy run over people, make crushing tackles and outrun everyone on every team LSU played. He was ALL-Pro at a position he never even played in college. Most of you weren't even born when this guy played. So I forgive you for being so nieve.
You people ever heard of Billy Cannon ?

Great player. I was a student when he played and he's one of my favorite Tigers of all time. He's not even in the same zip code as Patrick Peterson, though. I think it's a little sad that LSU had one of the greatest football players of his generation and a lot of Tiger fans think he was just another All American. Patrick Peterson's cleats are ALREADY in the NFLHoF! When his career is over he will be a first ballot inductee into the HoF. There are only two Tigers in history you can compare with PP7, Billy Canon and maybe Tommy Casanova.

Leonard Marshall was a beast.
You're right about Leonard. Probably the best D lineman ever at LSU

Sat next to Eric Martin @ the SEC championship game. Only time he got super pumped up was when the band hit the start if the 4th quarter. Guy is large

Jim Taylor was all american in football, basketball, and track in high school. All American at LSU. All Pro many times with Packers. Scored first touchdown in first superbowl. Hall of Fame. Recently awarded Doak Walker Legends award as outstanding running back. Mike Ditka says he was the toughest football player ever.
