Chad Jones has my vote.
I have a soft spot for Jeremy Witten as well for his heroics in the 2000 National Championship Game against Stanford.
He hit that homer just a few rows below me at Rosenblatt.

Lyle Mouton definitely worth mentioning. He hit one of the longest HR at the box. It landed on top of the married student housing beyond left field

Joe Adcock. Power hitting Milwaukee Brave was also all SEC in hoops as a Tiger.

"bench-press 270 pounds, which at the time was just 10 pounds off the Olympic record."
Was the bench press ever an Olympic lift?

I don't think it was kg because that would be 595 lbs.
I hadn't done the conversion, so that would be hard to believe! That said, Paul Anderson was doing around 615 lbs bench presses at that time...so who knows.

The information I quoted was from Times Picayune in NO. I searched and I believe the potential that should have been 270Kg is a possibility. I was unable to find a bench press event in Olympics, so something is askew here.
What I did find was that in Olympic and SEC competition, shot put contestants are heavily biased as the strongest "bench pressers". Cannon was an animal with the 16# shot put.

In the first ten posts Xavier Carter was mentioned and a 100+ posts later, still no pic of his " take a knee at the one" play against Georgia. The Rant is slipping.
