Crews to RF, Gio back to CF. That would still be a good hitting lineup. Berry is not an outfielder, by any stretch of the imagination.

I want to see what he does against SEC Friday and Saturday starters with some Velo.

He played on team USA over the summer facing the top collegiate pitchers in the nation. He was 2nd in avg (.370), tied for 1st in HR (4), and tied for 1st in RBI (12). I think he will manage SEC pitching just fine.

Except Jobert is significantly better than Gio offensively.

Berry is not a defender anywhere by any stretch of the imagination. But it’s the infielders booting it around, putting Gio in doesn’t solve any of more pressing defensive issues. You swap Jobert and Berry, period. Can do that next game. The tricky part is the infield. It’s gonna take a while to figure out where the puzzle pieces best fit. Time we don’t really have.
