We have the same amount of coaches on staff as every other SEC school

No reading tea leaves here, just wondering why, up until this offseason, LSU didn't "need" a passing game coordinator or a GA specifically for the O-line. This is all just banter because outside of Coach Miles' office, NO ONE knows what is REALLY going on. I do know that if I buy a dog, a gun, & a box of shells, people would probably assume I was going hunting. Seems like COach Miles has been spotted in the offensive section of the local coaching store, people probably think he is going hunting also. IMHO.

BW is the reason I wore #55 in Football. Great asset to the team!

that is unless you expect Crowton to have success this year.

Really? If BG is so great, wouldn't that help Crowton and make him better this year? The math doesn't add up.

BG = Awesome = Offense succeeding = Crowton keeping job
BG = The Suck = Offense sucking = Crowton and BG out of a job
(popular theory) Crowton suckage > BG awesomeness = suffering offense = cleaning of offensive staff, save Frank Wilson. Seriously, why isn't Frank Wilson being mentioned for OC?

all that whistle blowing and walking around was really starting to take its toll on Stud. Glad we can give him some much needed r and r.

TigerBandAlumnus won't like this.

Why wont I like it, because he's black?

You just don't "Get It" do you little boy?

Wilkerson has been announced as a GA for several months now and I haven't said a word about it. Wasn't he the Center on Saban's 03 NC team? Could care less about skin color, it's about compentency level and whether or not you're qualified to do your job. If BW can improve the OL, I don't have a problem with it.

I didn't care for D.J.McCarthy because he was an incompetent WR coach. Don't care for the current DL coach because he's not that great of a coach, got "Fired" from the Bears, played and coached mostly LB's in his career at "Bottom Feeder" type schools and just had a weak "Resume" overall.

I don't care for Crowton and Stud either. Hey, they're both "European American."

Not about skin color, just about being competent enough to help L.S.U. win S.E.C. and National Championships. So when I criticize a coach, it's on those factors. So be it if the coach happens to be black. They could be black, white, brown, red, pink or purple for all I care.............

Big Ben was not only considered one of, if not the, best center in college football, especially before his last injury late in a mop-up duty(still pissed about this), BUT he was also a GREAT student and model citizen. I believe he has a strong future in the coaching profession. I am damn glad to have him on the coaching staff.

I have memories of early practice reports coming out about Big Ben. "He's still raw, but he's the kind of kid that you teach him something once... he does it right every time after that." That's about the highest praise a coach can give a young player.

I wonder if this is a kind of "audition" for the job. Stud wants to get an OC or HC job and if the line improves he may just get to move on and we could get Wilkerson to take his job!

I would just like to point out that I posted that Big Ben was joining the staff months ago. I was greeted with "Link?" and no one believed me. Apologies accepted.

Amen!!! Was my fav player on a team loaded with similar warriors with heart. Glad to see him get this opportunity that his injury prevented in his pro playing career.

And with Stud's poor physique and health, glad to see LSU has a guy that can get in the trenches and demonstrate technique, rather than just vocalize it..and barely that.
