In a heartbeat, I believe he would still come back if our job opens up.

Spurrier was at UF for what, 10-11 years and left after 10-11 SEC championships.

He lied, announced on Christmas Day. He lied, announced on the day of our Sugar Bowl game. Need I go on?

But he didn't announce on the day of our Sugar Bowl game to hurt LSU... it just so happened that the announcement came on that day.

You honestly believe he would leave Bama to come back to LSU if we had an opening?

Here's why I hate Nick Saban: he's the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide. As such, his aims are to (1) beat us on the field; (2) take the best recruits out of Louisiana; and (3) prevent LSU from winning the SEC West, the SEC Championship, and the National Championship.

I don't know why people are so fricking befuddled by this.

Nick Saban is an egomaniacal mercenary. When a mercenary fights in your employ for your army, you pay him his blood money and thank him for his service. But when that same mercenary fights for the army of your mortal enemy, what do you do? Simple. You kill him. Mercilessly.

and you know this how? that's just like your opinion man. IMO he did it so recruits and everyone else paying attention to LSU dominating the SB would tie his return to college football with our success. It was not "coincidence" IMO . . . why are you such the Nick Saban apologist?

End of Story.

I dunno, I wouldn't put it past him.
I think if he felt it was an upgrade he would, but Bama's paying pretty well so
plus I don't know if our fanbase would "allow" a return.

I definitely am not an authority and I don't talk to Saban on a regular basis...lol... but... I think he's going to fight a bit of emotion Saturday. He had some good moments in Tiger Stadium.

They are talking about the fact that he announced his return to college football on the day that LSU destroyed ND.

No, he announced the Bama job on the day of our '06 Sugar Bowl. That's also when he made the coonass comment.

Don't go getting sour... No, I do not know for sure that Saban didn't intentionally select the day of our Sugar Bowl... And... I'm not a Saban apologist but I'm also not a Saban hater. I just don't think he intentionally selected the day of the Sugar Bowl. I think it just fell that day.

I wish we would've applied that philosophy to Bin Laden

I think that Nick Saban is a football coach. And... unfortunately, the color of the shirt he's wearing probably doesn't matter much. It's a business for him. Just like it was a business decision that led Johnny Damon to leave the Red Sox for the Yankees. And... I don't know that many of us wouldn't have done the same thing.

If you are unhappy in a job... and you have a chance to improve your families lifestyle and make a bunch of money you are going to do it. You are not going to turn it down because a former employer won't like you. You put wax or something in your ears during the 3 hours you are on the field of your former employer's school... smile at the fans as you leave and go home and collect a fat paycheck... At least, that's what I think I'd do.

I think this is tough for all involved. Of course he has GREAT memories from his time here. The 03 team was one of the tightest groups ever. Those kind of teams dont come around very often. And as fans, no matter what some say, we loved him like no otha after the 01 season- everyone drank the koolaid at that point

he cared about the almighty dollar more than lsu. he was too good for us then when he gets stomped in miami he goes to an arch enemy. add on that he is a sleazeball, a-hole, and liar and you have the core reasoning.

I really don't care about him one way or the other.I never was blown away by him when he was in Baton Rouge. Good coach, but I thought he was a jackass then, just our jackass so I had to 'defend him'.

He doesn't owe me diddle, nor do I owe him. I had no feelings about him taking the Alabama job until his press conference the day after the 2007 Sugar Bowl and he tried to take credit for our win. Pretty classless,IMO. No one wanted him to leave LSU,he was just a greedy, money grubbing coach. Then he said some crappy things about Miles on the recruiting trail.

Regardless,I want to beat Alabama Saturday. Little Nickie just happens to be their coach.
