You really don't see how the opposing coaches wasting hours gameplanning against players who will not play is to our advantage?

Fail.

If Ramsey hits Beckwith, it won't be on the field, on account of Ramsey being out for the year with a back injury.

Nice try though.

Turn on ESPN at about 6:45 on Saturday. If you see a guy in a white jersey wearing #48, then you will know that Beckwith is playing. Until then, it's nobody's damned business.

I don't get how Miles is "protecting" his players by not discussing a player's injury.

It's kind of like how the Tennessee Titans defenders were giving quotes prior to their game against Cincy stating that they would be gunning for the dislocated shoulder of the receiver formerly known as Chad Johnson.

Actually, it's not kind of like that, it's exactly like that.

why is it the fans business what is wrong... either the kid plays or not.....the less the opponents know the better.

The opponents will know if they are playing are not. Everyone either knew Early wasn't going to play or if he did, he wouldn't be 100%. In Byrd's case, it may keep Auburn guessing. Otherwise, every opponent after this week will have an idea on his health.

Everyone is missing the point. Just like last year, we all had a good idea of players injury situation. There will be several people who will post information on message boards. Everytime RP got in trouble, someone posted it on here before the media or LSU announced it. Our opponents will also have a good idea about injury situations. I just think it is silly for Miles to keep injury "information "secret".

You don't have to know that information.

You'll find out on gameday for sure. It's a non-issue.

I can't disagree. However, whether you, Miles or anyone else wants to keep it quiet, the information will be out there and our opponents will have a good idea of the extent of the injury.

Then why should you care whether Miles says anything or not?

I watched Jacob Catrera for a while playing in Beckwith's spot. I had never noticed him before, but he's a marvelous football player. A #11 played sometimes at middle linebacker (can't remember his name), but it was Catrera I kept my eyes on.

#11 Kelvin Sheppard.

Catrera is a quality linebacker. He is not as quick as Darry, otherwise he would be starting. I would be more concerned about depth at LB. If another LB goes down, we may start having much bigger problems.

There is also the matter of privacy laws in which a person's medical information is private. Many mite well disregard that ...i.e. Coach Tressel at Ohio St, who talked bout Beanie's injury all wk...but it is the law. Out there or not thru other sources, Coach Miles is making the best decision for the team based on how he feels bout it. I agree, a non-issue.
