Well.. I might be having an Old Timers moment on the score.. but what ever it was, we were winning and I honestly thought they were shittin me.

Not correct.
We defeated #1 Florida in 97, and in 07.
We also defeated "The" Ohio State University in the BCS Championship game when they were ranked #1
That makes 3 to me, any way you count it.
What we should look at is overall record against ranked opponents over the last 20 years and see where we stack up.
Due to the strong SEC teams I think we can hold our own here, and THIS is what separates the Boise St.'s and Ohio States of the world since they just don't play that many ranked opponents, and when they do, it usually Ugly!
We defeated #1 Florida in 97, and in 07.

I stand corrected. I think UF was #9 when we beat them in 07.

Florida was coming off a loss when we played them in 07. They ended up losing 4 games that year.
