LOL... do you really believe that Alabama is going to lose its next 4 games?

Alabama was picked by the national media to go either 7-5 or 8-4 this year.

First of all...i dont wear panties..i go commando...secondly, youre right, i am impressed that any gump can count past double digits...thirdly, Shreveport is a shite hole and a an educational mecca..uhh..roughly congruent to say Tuscaloosa...fourth, the BEAR is dead and those 12 NC's are a distant memory (but hold onto them for sure if it keeps you warm at night)...and lastly, I do like to barge in with my uniformed self and put my 2 little cents in b/c its never been necessary TO BE informed to put a Gump in his rightful place..AND, as far as you owning me...the only thing you and all of your little pointy-headed gump fuk brethren will ever own is an a-hole the size of the Grand Canyon from the fukin comin your way in TS this season...when we get thru with ya'll, Satan's gonna get some sloppy seconds when he eventually bolts for PSU...wow, i feel better already...I think my self-esteem is coming back!

We could very well lose our last 4 games. We have done it before.

But, we very well could win the LSU game and the others. We were never out of any game last year. We had no depth and our team seemed to quit after the LSU game. That could happen again.

But, I think we will have more depth this year. That will help. But, this team needs to learn how to play a complete game and not turn the ball over.

This season for Bama could be a 9-10 win season...but it could just as easily be a 6-6 season. Time will tell.

No self respecting Bama fan predicted 6-6 last yr. Not a soul. All we heard about was winning the West, perhaps the SEC with whispers of a national title run (sure it can happen, with a little luck..)

The more realistic Tide fans ruled out the natl title but that's about it. The rest, as they say, is the present.

I heard no Bama fan saying we would win a national title last year. I did hear a lot of Bama haters saying we thought that though. But, no Bama fan I know (and I go to school here) said that.

I thought we would 7 games last year and we did (although I thought we would beat ULM ) And I think we can 8 games this year (including the bowl game). We are 2 years away at least from being in a position to win the SEC. And, let's not forget, going in to the LSU game last year Bama was in the running for the SEC West.

With this class we brought in this year (and last year) I do think we will compete well in the coming years.

Good luck to your team too.

I visited tidefans and another Bama boards and message boards were plastered with Bama fans predicting an SEC/SEC W title. Saban was going to bring instant results and the 92K fans at spring practice knew it. It was quite surreal.

Self contradiction alert! Self contradiction alert! You believed Bama would win the West too and are denying it now! If you predicted a 7 win season, then why do I need to remember Bama was in the running for the West?

Yes, I think you will be competitive. But LSU, Florida, Georgia, TN, Auburn and others are all good teams now unlike the Bryant era. You will compete and you will lose a few just like everyone else and there is no guarantee Saban will bring you another title and let's face it - he was hired to win a national title at Bama. Deep down, you know this is true.

Bama will be a good team but even 50 million can't buy you the crystal trophy Miles held up last month.

LINK

Bama fans predictions last pre-season. Almost 30% went with BCS. 2nd and 3rd were Cotton and Outback. A few AU and LSU fans with more than one functional brain cell must have voted too as the mighty Indy bowl came in 4th with 11%.

There was another thread I posted on that was a few weeks earlier that is no longer available where the OVERWHELMING majority of gumps predicted approximately 10 wins last year with a shot at the NC if they got a few breaks. They mostly liked to say that in '06 the gumpers were close in every loss and SABAN would make the difference in turning those into W's in '07.

Damn - this is damning.

And the link you posted is great.

I think the Tide will lose 2. They will beat FSU and The barn + ut. the games they lose will be the uga and lsu. Saban has some decent talent down there and plenty of time to implement his O and D schemes. JPW will be a very good QB, and they have quality RB's. Hell even Shula would have done well with this team

This one was fun too (until after the game). Not a single gump (before the game) thought Bama would not win and 38% predicted an absolute Tide arse kicking. Before the game predictions were running 80% plus for Bama to win. Then after the game a whole bunch of votes for the loss showed up.

I REALLY wish I had the link to the thread that asked how many games Bama would win in '07. 10 wins was the highest percentage choice by the gumps in mid April after the "gathering" at the spring game.

I think losing to ULM requires you give up your "shite Talking" Card for

(A) a minimum of 10 years

or

(B) until you win a significant championship of some kind
