In prep the victors are more prone to be lax

The losers are more prone to having a fire lit under their arse

Must be mostly this. Game tape, we both have that. Glad we didn't actually win on Nov. 5th!

History is on our side.

In the 20 years of the SECCG the teams participating had already played each other in the regular season 6 times.

The team winning the first match also won the second 5 of the times.

I understand the logic behind the general rule of it being very difficult to beat a team twice, but this season has been all about the exception to every rule that seems to have influenced LSU foot ball all previous seasons...

-playing not very well during the day in Tiger Stadium
-only playing up to our competition, which usuall led to alot of 4qtr. comebacks during the season and allowing teams to hang around till the 4th qtr.
-Arky playing us tough, and winning
-Ole Miss playing us tough

So I dont buy into the idea about beating a team twice, not this season, not this Tiger team...

if we had won 20-6 yes Bama would have a chance to be more motivated. But the 9-6 score, the Bama players saying they were still the better team, tricky nicky with his ,"it was 6-6 at the end of regulation, will keep LSU's fire lit just fine!

not to mention its for ALL the marbles , vs Bama, and in New Orleans!

were we playing OSU id be worried about their work ethic leading up to the game.

our biggest problem to avoid during this month long prep will be players getting into trouble or grade issues.

TRUE....BUT how would you feel if you played the schedule LSU did undefeated and the media and GUMPS post game said we are better. I think motivation will not be a problem as the ESPN constant NICK NICK GUMPS etc will cause a FIRE in LSU's BEHIND like no championsip prior. Case in point the 92 Bama team had no shot agianst a superior Miami team owned the Hurricane's.

Saban did it...UGA 2003.

This very much feels like '03 UGA to me.

Replace Trev Alberts saying UGA was the better team with Robert Smith and you've got almost the same footage for the pre game hype video.
