So how much money is LSU looking at by playing January 9?

Bowl money is split evenly by the conference.

Isn't it about 8.5 mil per team?

Any bonus $ for the coaching staff?

I believe it is 16 Mill per team. The SEC splits all bowl revenue. LSU would get 2/14th of the 16 Mill and and 1/14th of all other bowl money. So LSU and Bama would bring in 32 million to the cofers this year.

Article in the paper said the coaches are up for I think 1.2 or 1.5 million in bonuses when we win the title.
This is not counting Les getting a bump up to $1000 more than the highest paid coach in college football.

I don't believe we split this with Mizzou and the FAggies just yet

So TAMU and Mizzou make money off our sucess??

We don't. The SEC office gets one share so that is 13 and the team that participated in the bowl gets another share of it. So 2/14th of the money.
When A&M and Mizzou join the shares will go to 16th.
It may be 18 million. It was 18.3 million last year.
