BB following FB's footsteps step for step

It was very evident during football season and it's become apparent in basketball also that when a team lacks leadership and direction, the team will flounder. Just as the football team lost leaders like Burrow, Jefferson and Queen, no one on the basketball team has stepped up to fill the void of Waters and Mays.
In sports, we often focus on the talent level of a player and fail to realize leadership and chemistry is probably even more important. It's clear LSU has talent, but it's like trying to mix oil and water. Until the BB team finds some leadership - a better coach would also help - the team will continue to have an up and down season.
Gonzaga is a perfect example of leadership and chemistry at work. They don't sign the highest ranked players, but they do sign players with leadership qualities and players that are willing to play within a team concept.
So the next time WW wants to make "a good arse offer" to another player, make sure he has some leadership qualities and wants to play on a team, not one-on-one AAU street ball!

There it is. You could have just skipped all of the other stuff.

You are predicting a national championship in basketball? I’m holding you to that.

“One on one street ball”
We have the most ignorant basketball fans on earth.

Street ball

If there was a mute function on this board “street ball” would be top of my list

It just goes to show how little the posters who use it know. It’s bitty basketball language, it’s a generic complaint that has zero basis in reality. We run sets on just about every single possession. Sure in transition sometimes we don’t set up and sometimes a player will take a quick shot bad or good but we run tons of set plays.

O dude must not follow basketball. In today's basketball teams don't run set plays. So does Bama play street ball? I don't think they run 1 set play.

I’d like to hear what kind of offense these “street ball” people would prefer we run? I think they believe we’re playing high school basketball with no shot clock and can just run archaic motions and flex until we get an open layup. But who knows, if they honestly think we’re playing “street ball” chances are they have no idea what they’re looking at.
