I blame the idiots who hired him

That, ultimately, is everyone in the state. Athletic admins hire the coaches. University leadership hires the athletic admins. The BoS hires university leadership. The governor appoints the BoS. People elect the governor.

LSU fans and the people of Louisiana get exactly what they demand...and exactly what they deserve.

Any good boss and coach will say the same thing: it all comes back to them. If their company or team isn't producing, it's their fault.

Andy Katz said JJ couldn't coach the Dream Team to a MEAC title. lol..I like JJ but I'm starting to agree with Katz. What a waste of the best player in the nation.

the team was not ready to rebound, block out or play defense. the effort was not there. Also, Ben can't be POTY shooting free throws like he does. It's painful.

Letting the guard split your zone like they were school kids is coaching

This game shoulda been out of reach by half.

Have we ever shot FTs well under JJ? Is it just a coincidence?

I would have this team shooting free throws at practice until their fingers bled.

Yep. After all, it's not like they're using that practice time to learn anything else useful, like executing a half court offense, boxing out on rebounds, playing defense, etc. Apparently, a typical LSU basketball practice is a street pickup game played indoors.

WHAT!! are you joking?
why has the coach not made it a point to actually practice said free throws.

Or coach them on something called a set play, or maybe even scenarios inside of 2 minutes.
I'm almost convinced that coach just throws the team a couple balls at practice and tells them to have at it. typical street ball play, no one knows what the hell is going on out there paired with no leadership.

It's a recipe for a early round exit from the NIT

You're an idiot!! Missing FT is ALL on the coach

Shaq played for some of the best coaches in the NBA...guess they suck.

I heard they have to make 50 FT in practice. You can't tell me Simmons terrible performance from the FT line over the last month or so is on JJ.

No way this is all JJ's fault. Team effort. Your 19 yr old team leader is a year away from being an instant millionaire. There is just not that much at stake for him. If the media starts piling on and lowers his draft status, then there might be some passion in his game.
