Ok so why Les Miles just not kick JJ off the team. Obviously he is looking down the road and possibily needing him. You make him earn his way back to the starter role just like I would with anyone else. Shep will be on the field right of way. Remember, game plans change week to week so missing six weeks of the season does not do JJ in. But I would not redshirt him. Next year this is Mett team if not before this season is over

I'm pretty sure we went 11-2 last year with JJ. Do you know for a fact we going 11-2 with JL? If you do, then you should be a psychic. We will see what happens at West Virginia before everyone starts crowning him the champ. Going into the season, JJ was the starter so obviously he was better tham JL going into the season. Les and Krags commented on JJ being a much improved QB period.

Because some people already think LSU is assuming guilt- kicking him off the team without the legal resolution would be a PR nightmare.

I would think this years numbers would be way better since 1/3 of our games have been against fcs schools...

No. Not deflection.

Your fundamental lack of understanding how time works is awe inspiring.

You complete inability to address anything else in my post is dumbfounding.

Comparing a QB at the beginning of a season to the end of the season is silly. QBs get better over the season.

But we're not comparing Jefferson at the beginning of 2010 to the end of 2010. Nor are we comparing Lee at the beginning of 2010 to the end of 2010.

Neither Lee nor Jefferson are the same QB that they were when they started 2010.

As to whether Jefferson improved over the season, well, that's kinda the point. He was not the same QB at the end of the season that he was at the beginning of the season.

It's not like QBs start from scratch each year. They add their accumulated knowledge and experience, and they build on it. That's why coaches generally prefer upperclasmen over freshmen and sophomores.

We are trying to compare how the QBs would perform right now. The best way to do that is to compare their most recent games.

As to what kind of QB Lee will be at the end of the year, I would assume he will be much better. I would assume Jefferson would be much better at the end of the year if her were playing.

But the comparison isn't Lee at the end of 2011 to Jefferson right now. It's Lee as close to now as possible compared to Jefferson as close to now as possible.
Now read through the whole post and try to understand that we are trying to compare Jefferson as close to now as possible with Lee as close to now as possible.

We are not comparing September 2010 Lee or Jefferson. Neither one is the same QB. We can not compare November 2011 Lee or Jefferson.

Just look at their most recent performances.

Just look at the performances that best reflect how they would perform right now.

Holy Moly

You cannot be serious.

JJ was a liability. Not an asset in 2010.

Tell me the last time a receiver had 8 catches with JJ at QB

Kinda tough when he didn't even complete 8 passes in 6 of 13 games last year

If he was a liability in 2010, what in the hell was JL?
If JL is that great of a QB, again and again again, why was he not named the started BEFORE THIS SEASON?

that's not a stat.

I know it hurts, but the offense is better this year with JL at the helm than was last years.

Would JJ have done well? who knows. What we do know is:

1) JL is playing well and is the starter
2) JJ is still INDEFINITELY SUSPENDED and hasn't practiced in over a month, with no end in sight
3) LSU is 3-0 against 2 top 25 teams on the road

This all leads to the fact that JJ is likely done getting snaps at LSU, period. MAYBE if he comes back in a few weeks he might get some packages during the bowl game...maybe, if he comes back in the next 3 weeks (unlikely)

I'm pretty sure you are wrong. No one but you agrees that we go 11-2 with JJ alone. In fact, 9-4 is a given.

Because getting a brand new OC, 2 weeks before the opener is the secret to success?
