The bashing on LSU players whether you like the way they are producing or not baffles me
Any player that pledges his alliance to become part of the LSU family by committing to give 4 or 5 years of his life, should be commended, not bashed.

Couldn't have said it better myself. It really is sad the way some of these peckerheads will turn on an LSU Tiger.

Brah, TigerDroppings would be pretty damn boring if nobody EVER criticized any of our players.

For example, if we have another QB pull a play like Josh Booty did in 1999 against Alabama where he runs on 1st & Goal with no timeouts and 20 seconds left and costs us the game... I'm not allowed to bash that?

quote:

L 2-10 A12 Timeout LSU, clock 00:31.
L 2-10 A12 Josh Booty middle pass complete to Joe Domingeaux for 11 yards to the
ALABAMA1, 1ST DOWN LSU.
Kenny Smith shaken up on the play.
L 1-G A01 Josh Booty rush right for no gain to the ALABAMA1 (Reggie Myles;Marvin
Constant).
L 2-G A01 End of 2nd half, clock 00:00.

Whatever brah.

OK. What they did off the field is different than waht they do ON the field. Could JJ have been a better QB??? We will never know. Could Cecil have brokens records at LSU??? Possible.

I will bash Miles for giving RP TOO many chances. It screwed up the team for two years. Miles is JUST now getting that back.

What's ludicrous is the assertion that college athletes are somehow above any and all criticism.

If you want to bitch about people booing the players, that's one thing. I don't care for boobirds either.

But it's plainly stupid to insist that no one should ever criticize a college athlete.

Sometimes they deserve the criticism.

Some constructive critsism is not the problem. The BASHING is. I saw a post last year that said JJ should not even be allowed to wear an LSU jersey cause he sucked SO bad. That is NOT needed.

I have NEVER booed at an LSU game. Even the coaches. ALOT on here think they could do a better job as a major College football coach. Its really sad if ya think about it.

noble warriors
fairy tale land.
Nothin noble goes on in a streetfight, or at the bottom of a pile of football players.

For instance Brandon Spikes eye gouging. Wouldn't that fall under battery 2? With video evidence and millions of eyewitnesses. It's football and to be expected, yet streetfights are supposed to be noble? GTFO

There was a national uproar yet it ended up "It's only one eye, sit half a game..... and don't do that shite when the camera is on ya!"

This was blown way out of proportion by BRPD.

Out of curiosity, where do you draw the line between criticism and bashing? Criticism is part of life ... University instructors criticize a students thesis, Managers criticize subordinates work, etc. Is commenting about JLee throwing off his back foot, resulting in inaccurate passes bashing or criticizing? Is commenting about Ford whiffing on a block criticizing or bashing?

I think it's pretty clear. If it's a statement of fact like:

"JL threw off of his back foot"
"Ford missed that block"

It's criticism and appropriate.

If it's something like this:

"JL is garbage. He sucks at life. I hate him"
"Ford thinks he's too f'ing good to block? What a pansy"

You should keep it to yourself.
