I blame Chris Guillot. He peaked in 1989 IMO.

Chris I hope you're reading this fgt

It was some group in RF acting fricking stupid. I'm sure they thought pretty highly of themselves but this isn't fricking 1985 with that wave shite.

The fans down the right field foul line seemed to be doing their part. They showed them a good bit and they were pretty hype for the most part.

I mean, they were loud and standing mostly. The wave negates that imo. I hate it with a passion.

What happened to the old-school LSU "frick you" mentality? The damn High-testosterone, loud, obnoxious, "this is how we do shite and you can't stop it" attitude? The thing that makes ESPN announcers scratch their heads because nobody else does it shite? Are we giving it up for the sake of propriety, or worse, conformity?

Would you describe "bandwagon fans" as those that miss LSU games to play golf?

Or are you calling the Omaha locals that take up most of the stadium "bandwagon fans"?

I kinda feel like a lot of people were just there for the novelty of it tonight. I know A TON of people that were just gonna drive up there if LSU made the finals.

We haven't made the finals in 8 years. That's kind of a while for LSU baseball. You have a whole new crop of young people and students or even recent graduates who have never gotten to go to Omaha to see the Tigers play for the title. A lot of people that left late Sunday and drove all night and got there a handful of hours before the game.

Maybe a tired crowd mixed with some people who really forgot why they are there. I think we'll see a different crowd tomorrow.

I'd rather make 1 game a year and put everything into it, losing my voice being obnoxious, than make all of them and think I had supported my team with golf claps, waves, and selfies...but that's just me.

ETA I wish I could make all of them.

It seems like the Florida players noticed the LSU crowd noise because two of them mentioned it without being prompted during the post/game interviews shown on SEC Network.

Good!
Wish they'd said "we couldn't concentrate or focus because the fan noise was so obnoxious." THAT would've been epic.

Those aren't mutually exclusive. It's generally the selfies that are done by people there only once.

Agreed, but you get the point. When I can go, it's not to brag that I was there, but to do everything I can to support the team.

I was in right field next to the pen. We were loud. Never sat down.
I hate the wave too, but I have to admit when they slowed it down then sped it up it was funny.

LSU's offense really looked bad and the fans weren't in it early on.

I did my part I know that. Hopefully the bats show up early and often tomorrow and the fans get in it out the gate.
